personally don't bother with protein shakes. i am neither an athelete nor do i workout at a level that would require extra protein. i really enjoy regular foods that i can chew to get my nutrition. Fluffy, the information you provided is correct. Actually protein shakes are NOT needed if you have a proper diet that includes plenty of protein. I happen to HATE cooking/or preparing food so this is the best way for me to get my protein especially after a hard workout. If I prepared my food ahead of time, I doubt I'd need the shakes but since they're quick and easy....... (Hell, sometimes preparing the 2 scoops of powder & adding water is a bit much) quote:
ah i sees thats why i eat the special K stuff to help keep me from being over hungry and to help me lose weight or so i hope though eating 2 MRE's in one day dont help but these are actually good Pomme, I love the Special K cereal & protein bars! I practically live on that and that's why I need that extra protein the shakes provide. As someone pointed out, some are for gaining weight but I wouldn't use them for losing weight. They are for building muscles, best ingested within 20minutes after your workout. ****Now, I really must gather my flowers together & provide today's menu***
