To the OP:
I think that it's safe to say that I enjoy both roles equally, but the extent of how much I participate in the roles is definitely not so even (I top waaaaaay more often than I bottom).
What I think is funny, is during a conversation with a "Master" he felt the need to tell me what I wanted, despite my repeatedly reasserting what my desires (or lack thereof) were. Clearly, in five minutes of talking with me, he knew more about my psyche and my desires than I did, despite that fact that, y'know, I've lived with and known myself for... my entire life.
Some people are silly.
A lot of people are very static, and have a hard time seeing things outside their own perspective. Being a switch, or being bisexual is often times seen as you just haven't make up your mind, or you're in denial of your "true" nature. In some cases, it's true. A lot of newbies identify as a switch as they transition into whatever they are most comfortable with in the lifestyle, or start as one and end up as the other. Many of us, really do like it both ways. Nothing in life is black and white, but there really isn't a handy scale to determine exactly what shade of gray you are.
