agreed it was a bad idea on my part. every industrial country has lower crime rates since the last time I checked. as a person i concede.

I just don't like the comfy living conditions, and yes i have seen them on the news and in documentaries, american prisoners live in on my dime. I was just thinking of an alternate solution now i see the error of my solution.

Excellent. We all live and learn. Used to piss me off, too, until I put it all in perspective.

I do not think Americans are inherently more criminal than the rest of the world. Which means the discrepancy in crime rates shows that there is a problem with either the culture, the management of the country, or both. It is common to cry out for harsher penalties, but Lex Talionis only goes so far. Society does not have rights over the individual, in the ideal case, even a criminal. Cooperation is enforced by regulating the benefits derived from cooperation that are publicly owned and controlled (e.g. money), and destructive behaviour is prevented by various measures. Protection is obtained via public services targetted at specific threats (e.g. Home Guard, firefighters, police, prisons, hospitals, mental hospitals, bomb shelters, traffic lights, etc.). Government should do nothing more than administrate this, and balance the interests of various minorities against those of the majority. Simple as that.

Lex Talionis is for individuals, not societies. Those have better tools.

well we are multicultured and the greedy politicians are only looking to get money in their fat pockets, so i would say both. having multiple cultures that will clash when put in the same place is a problem. and racism is  problem in america that is a cause of some crime, that is a one example of when cultures collide.

well the public services don't seem to be doing their jobs in america. The police arrest innocent men every day. fire fighters do their jobs. don't get me started into a political debate about how screwed up america is. b/c i live here so i know.

I was being instigative, not derisive.

Dont worry krista, Id be on the chopping block with you, gravity won the battle with my tits long ago.

Have you ever wondered why gravity does have the same effect on the cock as it does the tits, and perhaps the balls.
