I had a brief business exchange with Elise and my experience was similar to that of Sardax. Elise was very professional and ethical. I have had negative experiences with some Dommes but Elise was first rate.

I think Elise Sutton is driven by her passion for what she believes and not profit. For one thing, I first came across her site in 1999 and she didn’t publish her book until 2004. She updated her site frequently, for over 5 years, and never charged a subscription. If profit was her motive, her site would be a paid site and if it were a marketing ploy to get people to buy her book, why would she have waited 5 or 6 years before writing a book? The lengthy writings on her site are too detailed to be part of a grand plan to sell books. She obviously believes in what she writes and is passionate about it. I don't agree with everything she writes but I never doubted her sincerity.

I also had a phone session with her associate Kathleen. She was sweet, helpful and an encouragement to me. She charged me about half of what most bdsm phone services charge. I will not mention these other services by name but an hour is in the ballpark of $120. Kathleen spent two hours with me and only charged me $100 total. I never felt like she was watching the clock and I never once heard her ask me if I wanted to extend.

I have no idea about Elise's educational credentials or which degrees she holds but her site is the only female domination/bdsm site my wife will read. I showed my wife her site about a year ago and my wife loves it. I bought her Elise’s book and my wife loved that too. So now finally after fifteen years of marriage my wife is open to being my Domme. Whatever her motives or intentions, I for one am grateful that Elise is out there.

Bunko artists SEEM very professional and ethical. It's their business to create those illusions.

Truly ethical people do not intentionally deceive others regarding professional credentials. PERIOD!!!

Do your research about what it means to get an undergraduate degree in psychology and what you can and can't qualify to do with it. Check the American Psychological Association's site, for openers:

American Psychological Association

Her alleged education is the foundation of everything she posts and sells. Even her listing in the Wilkopedia references the associated conundrum.

You may be right and I respect your intelligence and opinion but I think the term bunko artist is harsh and not accurate. She has been a big help to me and my wife. If she is a bunko artist, I wish I knew more bunko artists just like her. I have had dealings with people who could verify their credentials and they took advantage of me and I did feel gullible.

Credentials do not equate to being ethical. The auto mechanic might have the credentials but he can still over charge. People are always saying they have this degree or that degree within the bdsm community, but how do we know? You see all these bdsm sites by anonymous people with Dr, PhD, and all these impressive titles.

Years ago I saw this professional domme who said she had a masters degree in psychology. I never asked to see her diploma. She was great at what she did and I was happy with her. She could have been feeding me a bunch of BS but I shelled out 250 every time I saw her and she was worth every penny. She was skilled and she had a gift, just like Elise has a gift in relating to women like my wife.

I’ve been around the block a few times. I ordered a book one time from a Mistress and paid $30 and when I got the book it was maybe 40 pages and not at all what was advertised. I’ve seen my share of bunko artists masquerading in the bdsm community. Elise Sutton has not disappointed me, on the contrary I have been pleased with everything she has produced or promoted.

For me to address your post accurately, I would be accused of flaming. Therefore, suffice it to say that when it comes to discussing psychology credentials, I am spot on, with no margin for error, plus intense awareness of, and adherence to, the American Psychological Association's incredibly strict ethical codes of conduct.

As for your previous "paid" experiences, whatever floats your boat and blows your skirt up. That's why we have the expression, "Buyer beware."

I know a crock o' crap when it appears in Ti-Land.

And that is what counts, in the end. I have looked at some of Elise Sutton's writings and didn't find them appealing. But if you do, and your wife does, that is wonderful. Here's to your happiness together!

I am fond of confident women and I guess that is why the concept of female supremacy appeals to me, so I salute you for your self-assurance, even if we don't see eye to eye on this topic.

Thank you, I agree, in the end that is all that matters. Here's to your happiness also.
