Why is it that so many subbie ladies are chubby? Don't get me wrong I actually prefer a fuller-figured submissive woman. (within reason).

But why are there so many? Does it have to do with low self-esteem? Or are heavy women more sexually liberated in their thinking? Or are they more sexually desperate?

Your thoughts?

We dont ask questions about why there are so many tall/short/heavy/skinny/old/young men on the sites...
Why do so many people seem to think that its going to be well recieved to talk about why there are so many tall/short/fat/thin/old/young women ?

I think the reasons vary.. for me, i always felt safe a bit heavier as i never knew what to do with, or how to handle the attention.. i think.. there is a secret strength, where all else takes on a sense of prey under this preditory strength i find within my submission to my Master, He makes me feel safe and as a result of or perhaps just a glowing by product... i am constantly bettering myself.

I just don't see any correlation between wieght and low self esteem or if a person is sexually liberated or desperate? To me, this smacks of of being biased disguised as tolerance.

My low self-esteem was the result of a husband who liked me heavy, kept me fat, and then denigrated my size. Once he was out of my life my self-esteem and self-appreciation has done nothing but grow.

More sexually liberated? How about more sensual in all aspects of my life? Besides, I'm gastronomically orgasmic.

More sexually desperate? Not hardly. Sex is easy to get. Being beat is easy to get. Finding a good match who gets a service-oriented D/s submissive is difficult.

Just my thoughts........

BDSM is populated by a 'fair share' of hedonists ... pleasure seekers who like to indulge. Eating is a pleasurable experience. Exercise usually isn't. Last time I checked, 60% of American's were overweight. Combine that with being a hedonist and finding out that it's OK to be into pleasure and there you have it, overweight women and men into BDSM.

I didn't read the OP as a complaint. Just a question. Perhaps we don't talk about why there are so many (insert adjective) men on the site, but I have certainly wondered about a seeming preponderance of any one kind, male or female, including "chubby subbies" and I have a few theories. I doubt any one of them is actually hitting the nail on the head. Rather, I think it's a little bit of everything. This is, of course, assuming you accept the notion that there are more overweight people in bdsm than there are on "regular" sites. I'd be interested in hearing y'all's thoughts. Oh, and in preparation for the flames, I am not complaining, I am not judging, and I am a big girl myself. It's simply a thought.

1. Being large is still not socially accepted in many areas. In general, BDSM is much less judgemental about people's looks and desires. Yes, I've had bad experiences and people being rude about the way I look, but in general, I find men in BDSM are more accepting of different sizes and looks and the ones who are not can be honest and polite about it...communicating that while they are not personally attracted they still see me as a person. My experiences on vanilla sites are vastly different. Perhaps larger women find they are more accepted and do not need to hide here. There are just as many if not more in the vanilla world....they just hide more.

2. Are larger women more hedonistic and, therefore, more willing to explore physical sensations? If I am unwilling to curb my eating for social moires...why curb my sexual appetite?

3. Are some people large because of the oft-touted "emotional eating?" I know I've certainly suppressed my darker desires and am enjoying finally letting them free in my exploration of bdsm. An argument could be made that some people use food as a substitute for some other emotion....suppressing submissive tendencies = eating to fulfill the void?

Just some theories. Personally, I think all three apply to me in some way. The reality is though that I was not attracted to BDSM because I'm overweight. I am not overweight because I'm attracted to BDSM. I think they are two different parts of my existence and experience that happen to coincide.

and why are just the ladies being targeted here. there are just as many fat males on here (Dom and sub alike)

personally, i find that outward appearance has nothing to do with self esteem. look at the bulimics and anorexics in the world.

*Scratching my head, and frowning a bit* Wondering why you not only equate being chubby with low self esteem; but seem to impy that submissives have lower self esteem than anyone else? Also, if I'm interpreting this right- you are saying that heavy women could gravitate toward bdsm submission because they are "sexually desperate"? Hmmmmm, trying to figure that one out; because you are either saying that fuller figured vanilla women can't find partners out in the general populace OR that male dominant's have lower standards for sexual partners than their 'nilla counterparts? I'm pretty sure that fat cells don't change the brain chemistry to make one more sexually liberated than thin women; if it did, bet there would be a fair number of guys out there fattening up their women to get in on the action!

Truth is OP the majority of women are at least a 14. Given, as is said so many times here, that this (CM) is just a micro of the macro, I would expect that the majority of women would be 14 or larger.

Same goes for the men. Don't get taken in by the pics of the hard bodies and tight asses on the profiles. Those bellies flop over the belts in rt. man boobs too. *pinch!*

Most chubby people period, are chubby because they eat more calories than they burn up.
Increasing activity, often cures that problem.

Specific answer to your questions can only come from specifically asking an individual. Asking in general and in open form can get you 1. flamed, 2. specific answers from many individuals, 3. general answers from individuals or 4. ignored.

My specific answer is this, for me; I am who I am.

I am 40 y/o, I have gray hair and few wrinkles; I EARNED each and every one of them by living my life and I'm damn proud of them.

I am slightly over weight, I am proud of that as well. I cook well as do those I love, and I enjoy every bite.

I am neither insecure or sexually deperate.

BTW, as a far as 'sexually deperate' goes, there are always toys if I'm too fat, gray or wrinkled to catch a man's eye.
