Status: offline 		Merry Christmas Divi and Bear and all who are or will be on here. We're winding down now, I'm full of good cheer and chocolate and ham, ready for bed! Will have to do a LONG walk to get the sugars within reason again, lol......

i was hoping the shops along King william road were closed so i could just window shop without being tempted, but i've been told that a fair few will be open. perhaps i should just bring spare change for a cuppa and leave the wallet at home.

Every year, my kids get me a "joke" present. This year, they got me good...for three days, talked up how they were walking through the store and found something that was just "screamed me."

Then they banished me to my room so that they could bring in and wrap their "just me" present...

And I heard a loud THUNK as they put it down on the floor.

This morning, I opened it to find a case of laundry detergent...and them cackling like banshees...said they had a pair of earrings in their hands for me and put them down immediately when they saw my 'gift.'

(They also got me an I-pod)

I think, over time, I'm going to appreciate the laundry detergent even more than the ipod. My oldest is in college and I'm beset often  by the clothes bags from hell as he brings his dirty clothes home to be washed.

My youngest is a typical 15 year old and well... there are time I find I'm washing items that haven't even been unfolded from the last time I washed them... but he can't tell them apart from the dirty clothes in that pigpen he calls his room.

We laughed till there were tears running down our faces.

A perfect morning.

Status: offline 		I can see they have a good sense of humor! Still remember when I was in college, though I never brought laundry home for mom to do, she said I was old enough to do my own! Usually it was because I was short on money and needed to borrow some!

My sister was like that, her room would always look like a hurricane blew through it! Mom never knew what clthes were clean and what needed to be washed. Her room was so bad that you couldn't open the door more then 4-5 inches  LOL>
