and bsb, if you've got a landing in your house (assuming it's not totally one story) i've got the plans for an american farmhouse style place, that has this huge landing and it's got a paladian style window, that's probably a 12 foot tall that's got floor to cieling bookcases with a window seat built in, but also enough room for a plush armchair and footstool. it's a bit on the shady side, of course, because u don't want damage to the books - but i imagine sitting there for hours, curled up with a book and a cuppa, or listening to podcasts or a long story on cd as i quilt. with corn fields in the background, bending in a slight breeze, maybe a few cows or sheepies in the pasture. the sound of crickets at night with the warm glow of a lamp.....
