I actually tried to retire at one point, Rainfire. My players wouldn't let me. The evolution of the fantasy world I developed surprises me, sometimes. I encourage my players to take a free hand in adding their own contributions; some of those ideas are now core parts of the world itself. Mind you, a fantasy world cannot evolve without writing stories and having players carry them through; so really, I owe it to them. [Which, incidentally, is the logic they used to get me back in the horse's saddle...] I have two main groups I run now on a semi-regular basis. One is the 'old vets' group - we've all played at least five or more years. The other main group, surprisingly enough, is the next generation - teenagers who want to learn about roleplaying without turning a game console on. They actually want to write character profiles, by hand, and often ask me for tips on how to make their roles more believable and enjoyable. I rather like this; there's a bit of grandfatherly feeling in there, especially as one of my main 'vet' players is an ex, and her daughter is in the 'next generation'.
