KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:20:01 PM)

goodnight donna! (still a coffee flavoured smooch)

e01n -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:20:05 PM)

pomegranite juice: just drink it.

favorite position: if I'm not expediting at the window, I'm cold side... or garde manger, if we're running full brigade

Speaking of which, I just got a semi-nasty-gram from ACF asking me to update my certifications, or throw them more money.

Obscure band references: eh, it happens - especially around me. Means nothing really.

Viggo: no, I didn't know he was with Exene... huh... interesting.

pomegranate juice, like cranberry juice without being exceedingly diluted, will likely make me fall fast asleep. so looking for ways of integrating it. did do some google and came up with great websites too. i need more vit c. oranges make me fall asleep too. SIGH...

Sappa - I can't get the imgae in my head of you sitting in a tree, quietly chortling hidden amoungst the leaves and pelting unsuspecting seekers with acorns and stones.

A GRILL & FRYER SLUT!  he he he.  You are such a SLUT!   lol.  Yall are the guys will all the testosterone!

Hey, eoin what position on the line do you prefer?  We might have the makings of a full kitchen crew.
I tended to work saute and the chefy/expediter position.  But the wood oven is always a fun one.

LOL  Just make sure the bloody dishwasher know how to do their job properly!

ocilla -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:24:32 PM)

oh yeah - pomegranite glaze or BBq on lamb roast.  pomegranite jellee with something gamely like duck or venison, pomegranite gastrique (sp?) with seared scallops.

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:25:50 PM)

Ocilla, are you sure you weren't one of those who tried to find me? ;)

You almost had it right... I didn't throw down the stones or tree nuts at the people. Rather, I threw them away from where I was hiding, so that when the hit the ground, those looking for me would hear it and take off towards that area. That gave me time to either move from tree to tree to get to another spot in the forest, or swing down on the grape vine to find another location.

I hope that clears the image up for you just a bit. :)

Back in the day I had a little army of Mayan dudes all from the same town on the Yucatan Penisula that followed me from job to job.  They were awesome. I miss those guys. They were such a great kitchen backbone.

I'm thinking of a triple thick baked cheesecake with a pomergranite sauce drizzled over top.

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:32:26 PM)

droooooool

lamb roast with glaze, cheesecake with glaze. i saw a recipe for a standing roast lamb, maybe adapt that, hm? actually, sounds like great things for thanksgiving!

ocilla -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:33:18 PM)

Angel - you might be able to mix it into a vinaigrette too.  balance it with herbs,  a bruniose of red onion marinated in red wine vinegar add pomegranite till it makes the back off your cheeks pucker but in a good way - like a sweet tart does.  Then add olive oil to taste.  Toss with mixed feild greens, dried fruit - craisens etc. and toasted almonds, walnuts or pecans.  You might even be able to add some goat cheese on a crisp slice of toast too.

ocilla -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/15/2007 7:37:23 PM)

owww,  niiice one.

And absolutely a standing rack would work well. With that cran color Thanksgiving would work.

I would look to mediteranean cuisine to find other pomegranite ideas.

If you make a syrup of it - you could add fresh ginger - then add that syrup to soda water and serve it over ice.  Or mix it with......VODKA???? that would be a right festive drink huh?
