skin gets left on for the roast (i even have the sea salt), but i'm pretty much the only one who likes skin on in the mashed variety. actually, i think they'd all like the roast potatoes much better regardless. it's that kind of weather out. this is what they'll look like: http://www.cuisine.com.au/recipe/perfect-roast-potatoes-with-rosemary

cheer up! one day you too can make rosemary roast potatoes. and braised, slow cooked lamb shanks. (btw, sams club used to have new zealand lamb - tis amongst the best!) edited because it really is vy late here and my mind keeps zigging when it should be zagging.... g'night all!
