The fires within a couple of miles have all but been extinguished. They weren't nearly as large as those still burning elsewhere; a total of 25 acres or so scattered amongst four separate burns. The smoke, at least locally, has cleared out with the aid of a cloudless sky and a brisk wind. So, for now, all is well. We're still keeping a watchful eye though as the wind, sun, heat, and continuing lack of rain keeps on drying out the vegetation. Welcome to fire season in FL...
