lol...thanks divi...

earthycouple -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:36:37 AM)

e01n.....  No problem.  Working is good and I'll steal you away soon enough

Ghita.... glad things are ok.

Instynctive and divi... damn we all have lawish stuff going right now.

Disney - yeah um...as soon as I have enough money.  I actually expect that we'll make the disney run next year.  My youngest will be 3 (hopefully old enough to enjoy it) and we'll be more financially secure since I'll have my MBA and hopefully a kiss ass career by then.

Mmmmmm - Piercings.  I had my labia done once (inner) the rings were so cool...I loved em.  One OB/GYN said take em out before I gave birth so they didn't accidentally rip them out.

So, here I am in labor, I look to my husband and say "where's your tool?"  (His lil boyscouty knifey pliery things)  HA! and you thought I wanted a quickie before I spent two days in the hospital.

He takes my rings out and off to the hospital.  I spend 24 hours in labor and the doctor decides that I'm probably not going to deliver; my husband and I finally just say "take her by C section".  So......yes, there is more....you brought up piercings and that reminds me of this story *S*

My body is very strange and it won't take an epidural on the right side of my body.  I kid you not....I had this issue with my first birth but we thought it was fluke. We learned with my second.  They gave me the epidural, they redid the epidural, then increased the drugs to 3 times what a normal human needs and I could always still feel the right side of my lower half.  So they then said screw it and knocked me out and took my child via Cesearan.  I lost my rings for this!  By the time I felt good enough to put them back in they were healed over, of course.

Has a ? about nipple piercings.  If you have them then decided to breastfeed( the piercings take out of course).  Does that complicate breast feeding at all ?   Curious to have it done but I do want another baby

divi -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:45:05 AM)

I'm sure there is a thread some where about it ..just too damn lazy to find it

and sorry D to hear you also having legal troubles,,sucks lol

GhitaAmati -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:46:39 AM)

My epidural had a "window" they called it...a spot on my lower body where it didnt effect. Was really weird.

My oldest was 3 the first time we took him to disney...and he had a blast.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:50:56 AM)

divi I dont really know....but Im going on saturday to ask questions...Ill ask that one too if you want

earthycouple -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:51:06 AM)

I don't think there should be any complication if your gauge isn't a 2 *S*  small piercings should be fine if well healed prior to breast feeding.

earthycouple -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:52:37 AM)

all right, my house is a wreck.  I am still not done moving my child from one room to the other...I'm going to go do something useful.

divi -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:54:26 AM)

thanks ghita.. if you remember to please ask.  Have a good one D !

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 6:59:50 AM)

i had two epidurals - one each for my kids. first nurse - military - sucked. had to do the injection twice cause he screwed up the first time. kept telling me curl up tight. 3 weeks overdue, 9 lb 10 oz baby. not a lot of curling up room to do!! fortunately they worked really well. 2nd one was a breeze. but i had a bad after reaction to it, shook so hard i thought i was going to shake off the table! that'd be the one where they took my insides out to see if they'd nicked a gut or something when they went in. i slept while that was going on. [:)]

GhitaAmati -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:13:42 AM)

ow damn

I had an epidural with my first, he was induced because of being 2 and a half weeks overdue. little bugger was NOT coming out. They had to reset the needle three times, same as you ...curl up...you fucking curl up around this belly asshole!...they waited until the contractions were pretty severe to set the epidural

second baby...induced 2 weeks early because of complications, epidural not as big an issue..they did it before the contractions were as bad because they thought they were gonna do a cesarean, vaginal worked out but had breathing issues for first few months of his life, kinda almost wished they had given up trying to yank him out the birth canal and just cut me.

third baby....my body finally kinda got used to this....no complications, no sickness, nothing, went into labor naturally a few days before my due date. I called my friend the delivery nurse to tell her about the contractions. "oh your fine! just relax and wait until they are 5 minutes apart"...damn contractions went from 15 min to 2 minutes very fucking fast. 100mph drive accross town, 90seconds apart by the time we get to teh hospital...oh you have to sit down and fill out paperwork in the ER...damn it I thought thats why I came two weeks ago to pre-register? Nop..gotta do it now anyway...fuck...rush to delivery room....babies flipped sideways...heart rate going down with every contraction...get the anestiesologist in here....tells me I gotta roll on my side...they sent Sir out of the room for the epidural....Doctor had left the room too...about 3 minutes after I roll, I feel the baby finally roll over to into the right position..they told me not to push..damn it I dont have any choice! Next contraction, still on my side, anestesiologist ended up delivering the baby...Doctor and husband out of room...nurses went running for them..they thought something bad had happened...they were panicking...came running in to see baby already born....fuck Im never going with a natural childbirth again....

divi -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:25:46 AM)

The epidural I had was terrible...They hit a nerve...god really sucked.  Felt like forever for them to get it

subinmaine2 -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:43:45 AM)

Heh....i was on IM with Sir...Friday afternoon, 4pm, snowing like CRAZY out, asking Him if he wanted steak or pizza for dinner.  Told Him to hold on, i had to pee, stood up and *gush*...sat back down, crossed my legs and typed "my water just broke, You need to come home NOW"...His reply "No sir, stop trying to get me to leave early" *eyeroll*

i had a c-section scheduled for the following Wednesday 'cuz she was breech and not moving so i wasn't prepared for her to come a bit earlier...needless to say, 911 was called because Sir had the car (only one at the time), He was 1 1/2 hours away at work, there was a snowstorm going on and i had no way to the hospital.

Get there in just about an hour, they assess me and prep me for an emerg c-section....and the interthecal (epi on steroids lol)...after i stopped shaking and the Anesthesiologist convinced me that yes, i WAS breathing even though i couldn't feel it (christ that was a weird feeling), they got the girl out.  Sir made it there just as they were giving me the shot.

All in all i was digging the epi....but it was weird afterward, waiting for the feeling to come back.

divi -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:46:50 AM)

yah the feeling afterward is sooooooo weird.  I also had a bad allergic reaction to it which they had to give me benedryl.  Was a wild experience.

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:49:26 AM)

lol, hey girls. notice how the guys have deserted us? we'll have to remember this trick just in case....

and y'know, a smart person would ask "WHY do you keep on having children after the first go round!!??"

and my answer, we have mercifully short memories when it comes to childbirth and the pain and what we went thru. otherwise we'd only ever have the one!

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:51:35 AM)

i was told by bear there's talk about childbirth here

KMsAngel -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:54:23 AM)

if ur spiling ur guts, metaphorically thanks, i'm getting some chockies and milk. anybody else want some? tim tams, on me!

GhitaAmati -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:57:05 AM)

yea Ive noticed that too Angel....its like...right after the birth "oh god this is hell dont ever fucking touch me again you bastard".....and then three months later its like..."hey hunny, how would you feel about another baby?"

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (9/20/2007 7:58:13 AM)

with my first UM - 2 epis (and they forgot to remove the needle out my spine 12hrs later) since she was a difficult 36hr delivery and 9lb 6 1/2oz child - declared full term by ultrasound because she was born 2 months early ...the biggest one

my 2nd - au natural childbirth (no meds used in a Catholic hospital) ...10 and half hours of her kicking and pushing her way out! the doctors kept screaming at me not to push - she was so anxious that she was doing most of the work ...she was 5lbs 7oz and declared premature (born 2 months early)
