Did I mention that I'm going to be cooking this for a group of people coming over for playing Rifts? And that She's more than just a bit picky about veggies? Especially if they're "soggy"? It's a challenge cooking for Our home - but it's one of those that gets me turned on at the stove, y'knowwhatimean? To torment BSB some more and to give Nyrisa yet another "anti-recipe": I'm thinking of splitting the squash (pumpkin in thick wedges will also work), seeding and roasting it until soft. I'd then scoop out the softened flesh from the crisped peel and puree with a bit of broth and marscapone/gournay cheese and a tiny bit of fresh sage & s+p, looking for a good sauce consistency. Sauce some long noodles (whole-wheat linguine?) and done. Maybe 30 minutes of oven time and 2 minutes of buzzing in the blender and boiling some water - waaaaay low on the effort scale. Meanwhile, I'm rebuilding my old recipe database. From scratch. Joy...
