Status: offline 		A chocolate-only diet will help that. Eat only 25% of what you would normally eat, only in chocolate, and you'll do fine.

Of course, that's assuming you don't care about the minor details, like nutrients...

Status: offline 		I don't see why not, except now you're dealing with using liquids where previously you were ingesting solids. I'm no expert, but I think that not only would the nutrients be off, but I don't think your digestion would be too well either.

But, I'd like to know how your experiment works... if you're so inclined to try it. ;)

The problem with alcohol would be all the sugars and what alcohol itself does to the liver and kidneys (hard for the liver to detox and it dehydrates us).

You could get protein and carbs through a liquid diet but you would have to be very diligent to make sure that you are getting all the needed protein and carbs along with the right amount of vitamins and minerals...calcium and magnesium is especially important for the ladies...without all the simple sugars that many of the liquid foods have.

Status: offline 		Well, it can be a pain in the ass... all that preparation and clean up. I wonder if anyone has attempted an all liquid or pill diet. I mean, if one were to believe the claims of advertisements, it would appear that all one needs to do is take one or two multi-vitamins and/or drink from a choice of many nutritionally "perfect" shake products and all of the day's nutritional requirements would be met.

Any one willing to try?

Status: offline 		I think most alchoholic beverages are pretty high in carbs......Ive got an uncle that lives on beer and pork rinds though......although your figure is soooooooo much sexier than his......grins.

Status: offline 		I do a detox type liquid diet occasionally.....but its not alchohalic. I just make everything myself in my juicer in the kitchen. Its really good for you actually, all fresh fruits and veggies.....

Status: offline 		My juicer gave up the ghost a while ago. I tried doing the same thing with a blender, and the resulting "blend" was absolutely horrid. Instead of separating the juice from the pulp, the blender just tried to mince and mix it all together. :(

Status: offline 		yep. a blender just doesnt work the same way. A juicer actually breaks down the cell walls of whatever you stick in there too..makes it very much easier to digest and seperates the pulp out. Which you can add back in to the juice or use in cooking or not....but the pulp is broken down much differently than how a blender just mashes things....
