Quick summary:

She was injured at work as a direct result of a command from her boss [she's a nurse], resulting in a triple hernia. Her back was worsened when a drunk illegal smashed into her car a few months later, totalling it. Manipulation failed to yield anything but they were dancing around providing her with surgery. She recently had the surgery, and the heparin [blood thinner] given to her weakened her immune system, so she caught pneumonia. The pneumonia was clearing when she got another infection, Fifth's disease [like chicken pox - you only get it once; it's worse in adults - causes a joint swelling similar to arthritis]. She's now in the process of getting the swelling to recede.

rolls around on couch giggling, tickling, tugging and groping the bear. I am okay...a little blue as my boy panicked again and looks like we are not to be afterall. Had a few tearful days but am back up and moving forward.

That doesn't even touch on the legal issues that reared up...now those have had me going. Fortunately, Texan and Federal law are easy to access and easier to grasp. Her doctor wants me to go to medical school for all the advice I've been giving her about caring for herself, but frankly? I'd rather go back and continue what I started in Psychology...if I were to go back at all...

I hope that the swelling goes away soon and does not take the months or years that it can. At least she is not contagious anymore! YAY!
