Hmmmm. . .

Dark Chocolate. . .

I am getting so irritated with the constant, "I am sooo evil" from d-types.  Great, good for you, we are all thrilled.  Now, is there anything else that you could talk about?

Are you saying, Aylee, that there are some d-types who lack the information and experience that would allow them to discuss other topics? That's shocking... my perceptions have been shattered.

Now, whatever will I do?

;-)

I was not actually refering to anyone in particular.  There are just some folks out there that annoy me.  Not really in stupidity land here, but on the other forums.  The question could be:  "My sub and I are going to Howandaland next week, does anyone know of a good club?"  And some idiot will respond with: "Oh, I would take her to the chinese buffet and use the chopsticks and some rubberbands on her nipples while she is eating, but I am just evil that way.  *smirk* *weg*"

Or: "Well when I go to Dom Depot (oh and that annoys me too.  So, s-types do not have ANY DIY skills?) I like to hook my pet up to eight fans at ones and electrocute her with bug zappers.  But I am just evil that way.  *smirk*  *weg*"

I am sure that it is a wonderful skill to be able to insert into ANY conversation, some pointless trivia that you believe is clever, but I fail to see what the benefit is.

But just so everyone knows. . . when I am DMing an RPG, I like to have my sub stand with their hands grabbing their ankles, and everytime someone fails a saving throw, I insert a d20.  But I am just evil that way.  *smirk*  *weg*

OK, I'm going to admit to knowing absolutely nothing about the RPG world (which is different from the RPG that I do know; Report Program Generator), so I have no clue what DMing and d20 are. I've tried to Google it many times, and I guess I just don't have the RPG gene; none of what I was reading made the slightest bit of sense to me.

Nevertheless, I don't need to know those details to understand the imagery you may be trying to project. ;-)

I'm guessing if you don't smirk or give her the wicked evil grin you'll be just fine.

DM - Dungeon Master (or GM - Game Master)
RPG - Role Playing Game NOT Rocket Propelled Grenade
d20 - a 20 sided die.

I was making a reference to playing something like Dungeons and Dragons or HackMaster.

I’m also guessing a D20 is one of those die with 20 sides perhaps and you can’t tell what thing it has landed on because the sides are so small due to there being twenty of them. Someone did a study and they found that six sides could be read just fine but any more sides than that and you’ll go blind trying to see if you’ve been eaten by some lizard warrior or not.

Thanks for the mini-tutorial. And yes, I figured the d20 was some sort of object that was being inserted. Although, I think a standard six-sided die might be more annoying than a 20-sided die.

:-)

Use larger die.

If I was going to go for annoying instead of ease of insertion and removal, than I would use four-sided dice.

But I am evil that way.  *smirk*  *weg*

some of those would be painful inserted in certain places, like oh...say......someone's nose!

Yeppers.

So what games do you play?

My favorite two are Munchkin and Betrayal at the House on the Hill

Well, I do currently have the appropriate number of paddles for it.

And, Hey, you have at least distracted me from my annoyance over the issue for the time being.

But I think that I will stick with Shannon for my .sig line.

I wished I could have stayed at the Evil rank. Deranged has little meaning for me.

I do what I can.

Of course.

Oh, I dabbled all over the place, read White Dwarf and Dungeon; set up a few LARPs; dabbled in the Masquerade and Shadowrun; used the OE Fighting Fantasy system and a few of the ICE rules for a short-lived Middle-Earth/LoTR campaign; but I have always, and will probably for a number of years yet, played the granddad of the RPGs...Dungeons and Dragons.  Stuck with that since 1984; started world building in 1987, before there were "convenient" guidelines to do so.

Always wanted to visit Ed Greenwood, the man lives a stone's throw away.  Never got around to it.  Well, that, and the man is busy enough...conventions are a more appropriate place to harass him.

I am wondering what you have to do to get your own special title under your UID.

Give me time sappa, and I will make a geek of you yet!

Well, Lumus, GURPS is your best guide for world building, in my opinion.  I am getting slightly annoyed with D&Ds repeated changes in their system.  I feel like I am learning a new one every six months.  Grrrrrr.

I think that my favorite RPG though is HackMaster.  There is just something about it.  Have you ever read Knights of the Dinner Table?
