Sappa and Angel, I keep vaguely wondering what Macs are like, but the ones I've seen spend too much time being friendly (TP).

And Angel, you can tell the UM, that Frosty is indeed being SAVAGED by a Krenshar.  S/he must have just read the card wrong, Frosty failed his MORALE saving throw, not his MORAL saving throw.

And good morning to the rest of you!

You can geek out with the Mac if you'd like. There's an entire BSD/Mach subsystem for you to play with. It's a BSD system, not linux, so there may be some things that are different, but a quick trip through the geeky man pages, and you should be up to speed in no time.

;-)

Sappa.. I agree.. IIS sucks all balls.  As does Vista.  As does this piece of shit laptop.  And so does HP for making me wait THREE HOURS for a printer installation program to finish up just so it can tell Me it can't find the USB all-in-one.

Douchebags.

G'morning to you as well. :-)

If you get a Mac, don't get Leopard on it... it's as bad as Vista...

lol, well, u know, it being a bdsm site that you're posting on, it COULD have been frosty being molested, assaulted, etc. consensual of COURSE! (he really didnt 'look like he was enjoying it though, did  he?)

regarding mac, well admittedly, i don't push it around like sappa does - mine was bought because i needed a basic computer for school and research. i don't use it ANYWHERE near it's capacity, i freely admit. BUT, I've also never had a virus, i don't get pop ups and it works like a dream. i've used both pcs and macs, and honestly, i think they're just as easy to use in their basic capacity as each other. but for the graphic programs that a lot of people use them for, they're apparently without compare.

I heard from a podcast about a month or two ago that HP and Apple have entered into an agreement; HP will provide full Macintosh support for its devices in the form of Mac OS X framework kits and give them to Apple directly for inclusion into Mac OS X. This also means that any updates to the HP software and drivers would come from Apple's Software Update utility instead of having to deal with HP's convoluted trip through the HP site to obtain updates -- a Mac users' exclusive. ;-)

I guess this means that HP is going to ensure that all Mac users get the full range of sluggishness and "not found" device messages that the Windows users enjoy so much? ;-)

I wouldn't go that far, but it does appear that Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.0) was a bit rushed in order to meet the public release deadline. I'm still using PowerPC equipped Macs here, so there'll be no upgrading to Leopard for me. Which is fine as there really isn't a compelling reason for me to do so. For what I need, I'm very happy with my Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.x) installations.

Nice... considering the whole archers and wizards decor.

Good morning subtee.

Maybe some weather geeks can figure out a way to push sTS Olga on towards the continental US... bringing warmer temps for ya.

sunshine...yea...warmth...I am back in shorts today after a week of fur parkas and mittens....I just love the seasons. My plants are going into bloom. They're in for a world of surprise next week when winter comes back.

Im heading into walmart for some christmas shopping in a bit....Im not exactly looking forward to it.

I have yet to figure out what to buy the 18 month old. Hes the laid back type, who is going to be compleatly happy to be given the bow from the top of a present. They have so many toys they can barely find their beds, and I dont want to go out and spend money just so he has something, yet I really dont want to just give him clothes, which is actually all he needs. my younguns, the only kids I know of who have managed to space their ages and sizes out just perfectly so they cant wear handme downs because the UM before them was wearing summer clothes at the size where this one needs winter clothes...arrghhh. but I cant just give him clothes only, thats not right...he needs a toy, but what? anything I give him is gonna get stolen by the 30month old. and the baby just isnt into anything..like the older one, as long as its got a train on it, he's going to be happy..and I built him a bed for christmas(to get him out of the crib) and my mom is buying him thomas the tank engine bedding, and I bought some matching fabric to make curtains and the bedding comes with this giant stuffed thomas and my oldest UM is wrapping up this giant thomas tent he got when he was 3 to give him. So thats one UM handled. and the 8yo, we bought him one of those rockets you can shoot off in the back yard, and a shirt, and a native american walking stick, and a new video game. I think Im gonna buy him a new pair of shoes too cause the ones on his feet are falling apart. but the baby. what the hell do I buy someone who isnt even gonna notice that its christmas??
