I'm one of the greedy ones. Bi Poly and Switch.

Aine -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/10/2007 9:53:11 AM)

Completely monogamous when I am asked to be, without question or problem.

Am bisexual through and through, but we're not poly.  Though I would play with another if I were given permission.

We've talked about it, and have some similar and differing opinions on poly, and decided that we do not want to be.  Who knows what the future will bring though.

I dunno, but I identified as bisexual years and years before I identified as a switch.

What do you think? It seems to me I see a lot of Bisexual/Poly/Switch identification going on. Curious to know what others have observed.

Hello TNstepsout.
Im sure that there are some interesting and less subjective statistics that would answer your question. But for me the answer would be an assumption thus:

If your a switch, you would need to be pretty comfortable with just who you are as a person. You would be sexually active, and assertive enough to go seek what you desire. To play a active part in orchastrating your needs being met. You will be experienced in both sides of the fence, and can make that informed choice that your into both. In essence, happy and accepting of yourself and your sexuality.
Those that are more confident & relaxed around their own sexuality and that of others, are more likely to accept new experiences, bi being one of them.
From a senstation players point of view, from powerexchange, gender is less specific. The more experience i have gained, the more at ease i am, that some forms of play, have nothing to do with sex. And therefor, the gender issue is not relevant for me.
I can orgasm with a plastic vibrating thingy. I dont concern myself with the gender of the plastic, why do so with a partner?
I 'react' to certain people. How they conduct themselves, present themselves, interact with me, decides if there is chemistry. What gender they are is irrelevant, im either attracted to them or not.

CheekyHalfWit -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/11/2007 3:15:54 PM)

I'm not Bi, I dont even really like women all that much.  I do have problems being in a monogamous relationship.  I just get bored and mad with the guy that tries for the mono.  Its not really his fault that he wants a mono but cant give me the things that I need to make me happy.  I just dont like being the one how always does the spanking?  I want'n get spanked to!  just not all the time.

Mercurialdame -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/11/2007 5:16:07 PM)

a excellent point CheekyHalfWit. You have to find your needs met elsewhere, if your partner is of an incompatable sexuality at the time. ie. a sub, not a dom or for bi's, a male instead of a female or visa versa.
Ive found that being monogamous, gives me more motivation to replace these avenues of fun, with others.
BDSM brought to me a whole new side of things, that are a fetish that he shares. So although i do nothing other than porn for the lesbian need, i find the morphic delights of rubber, more than compensate. I replaced one playground with another. I kept the play, and put gender off the page with latex. Even the 'me' can dissappear in rubber. I like what it does, its new and exciting. For us.

I am totally hetero- and mono- , but I guess that could change.

Damn!

Errr.... wait, was that my out loud voice?

I really gotta get that internal monologue filter fixed.

arayofsunshine55 -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/17/2007 5:05:01 AM)

What I am mostly is flexible.  So it all depends upon my relationship.  I can do it all.  Don't have to do it all.  Can be quite happy not doing much of it.

laurell3 -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/20/2007 11:43:05 PM)

It's quite possible switches will tend to be more open to more possibilities or "flexible" as aray put it.  I don't do poly, I don't like sharing my toys [;)]

stos -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (9/22/2007 11:03:21 PM)

Yes you are bi but the attraction is in transexuals not males is this what you are saying?
I am bi and only interested and find sexy transexuals a turn on.

Straght and mono! I guess that make me single pole switch.

Kuprin -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (10/8/2007 6:29:44 AM)

Poly yes...bi...sorta. Very few guys get me interested at all...it takes a very special situation for that to happen.

SexyJaguar -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (10/8/2007 1:43:50 PM)

I'm a queer identified, poly and switch :) I've played with males and it was not about sex for me.  Some kinds of play is not along the gender lines or gender identified for me. Being a switch myself does give me some flexiblity to consider scenes or being open to the possiblity of a new scene to try.

I always had bi feelings but didnt act on them until I got divorced.   Being bi means you have double the number of potential partners lol!

And being bi-poly brings a new level to having a gal pal to bitch about your boyfriend with!

diphyes -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (10/10/2007 9:25:49 AM)

As David Bowie said, why go through life with one hand tied behind your back? And personally, my love and my desire is not contained to one person, nor do I think that it can be, especially at such a young age. There's no knowing how it'll go as I mature, though.

Gwynvyd -> RE: Are Switches more often Bisexual and Poly? (10/10/2007 10:24:46 AM)

I am an equal opertunity slut.. *big smile* Bi, Poly, Switch on occasion. < Mainly Domme though- it takes a lot to make me bottom >

To me it doesnt matter what is in the persons pants for me to love them.. but what is in thier soul. I fall in love with *them* not thier genitals. Love is so rare, and precious why would I limit my search to just half of the population?

Being poly HoH I have a Female primary, and a Male Primary, as well as a male secondary. ( Im a lucky girl )
My girl is bi but mainly lez, and all of the males are decently straight.. though one would do bi if I asked nicely. Come to think of it.. all 4 of us are at heart switches.. Hmm.. interesting.

Gwyn
