i have many piercings and after i have them i am usually on what i usually think of as an adrenalin high.sometime later i feel cold,sometimes get the shakes,feel hungry,weak,high temp.any or all of the symptoms here,or others too.i am soon to have time away with Master,we have met already,and wonder if the "drop" i hear talked about and experienced is like this? in greater proportions?(i hope what i have written makes sense)

You're having a very common reaction to an adrenaline high- which can be one form of drop.

greetings finallyhis,

i experience this a lot (both as a result of my sugar dropping and just as a result of general "subdrop"). as pyrrsefanie mentioned, it could be hypoglycemia, so you may want to get that checked out and of course if you are feeling shaky, etc. try to eat something small/get hydrated first because that will help a lot (even if you are not hypoglycemic). i find it's best to try to plan in a little time for that weak/shaky feeling i get in general when i'm dropping, though. it varies for me...sometimes i do not have those symptoms at all, sometimes they can last for hours or come and go. last night after we were together i felt fine, and then i woke up this morning and was shaking and weak. so it just kind of depends...i think once you have gotten used to monitoring your body where that is concerned it becomes easier to prepare for it, take care of yourself, and eventually lessen the symptoms.

In short, yup. Top/sub drop may also be accomponied by emotional funk in addition to chemical reactions. Your experience may vary. Whatever the case, aftercare is your friend.

I have piercings too and I understand what you are talking about. Needle through the upper ear and I'm shaking and high. It's never bad with me, I can always drive and do what I need to do. I really wouldn't compare that with subdrop though. You might find that they are similar, but the high and drop from getting a piercing doesn't mess with my head, but sub drop will. However, everyone has a different experience.

Endorphines do funny shit to your body. If you haven't eaten properly and have the right amount of sugar IN your system not just in your body but floating in your system...you an burn through that shit uick. And force your body into a false diabetic reaction (shock). Like grandma said "Gotta get my sugar up"

Eat well...eat healthy and do it anywhere from an hr to an hr and a half before a scene....and yeah that drop effect for me is AFTER those feelings go away...friggin human body needing fuckin time to recoup...what the fuck is up with that?!

What has worked for me.. even if you eat healthy and prepare for the drop... Master always has soda.. juice and chocolate on hand and "recomends" it usually after clean up of the girl and gear..

I have experienced all of these during "drop"...even soda and chocolate sometimes does not help. I am still trying to find the best way to deal with it.
