MastersControl -> RE: discipline during pregnancy (8/26/2004 10:32:40 AM)

Hello A/all,
I can now announce that I am a proud father of a baby boy. The baby is heathy and screaming...lol And he is already Doming moma from the bottom... lol

I did have one question. Is 6 weeks long enough to keep from spanking my sub, or would it be better to wait longer? Dr. says no intercource for 6 weeks, but he dosen't know our lifestyle. I was wondering if anyone knew. I don't want to hurt her, but I know she was wanting to get somethings back to normal.

Inquiring minds want to know.

MC

Congratulations to you and lisa (and to big brother)!

As far as you getting back to normal...eighteen years from now should work! [:)]

Congratulations you two!! LOL that domming thing goes on for at least 18 yrs, maybe longer. Personally i don't see any reason not to resume spanking but i'm no doctor.

I will probably get in trouble for posting this without Master's review and permission.

Be gentle with her on this one. My wife has done the same thing a few times on vanilla lists and it did make me mad. I have come to realize though just how hard it is for her NOT to jump in and defend like that. I can only imagine how much harder it is when pregnant and already in "protection" mode.

Well wishes to you both.

I believe a woman can control her hormonal emotions
.

To say this is possible, implys that people have total control over the chemical states of their body, if this was true mental illness and chemical imbalances would be self correctable. While it is true that meditation and general healthy practices can contribute to well-being, Woman and Men are incapable of controlling the biological output or lack thereof of Hormones into the blood stream. Pregnancy is a particularily difficult time hormonally, and some traverse it easily and others not so well. Conditions such as Post-Partum Depression, and loss of libido stem from hormonal changes. To imply that these are always within a persons control is bit far fetched. Further more... Men to have hormonal changes and often times experience a lack of testerone or Androgen and have diminshed sex drives, and other maladies. If it was as simple as thinking oneself well, there would be a lot of doctors and pharmacutical companies out of business.

What she is failing to tell you is she HATES when she has toe be spanked, because I do not spank lightly. And when I use the Lexan or Oak paddle she almost cringes. But until then, I love lisa very much, despite her ability to step in it.

I understand the gist of what you are both trying to say, The question I have is why are you limiting her instruction and discipline to solely the paddle? Are there not other means of accomplishing the same thing?

And I by no means, want her hurt or the baby, so I will play it safe, and let her get one by me, but remember lisa, I have a very good memory!!!!

Please do not take this as a personal slam or attack. It is not meant to be that way. I think what I and perhaps others are bothered by in this comment is the whole concept of "Getting one by you". I don't think of pregancy and the hormonal crankiness as something that someone is trying intentionally to "pull" on you. Carrying and kicking baby, the extra fluid and the mass of hormones that have not been present in the body any other time, takes getting used to and are often beyond comprehension to anyone who has not experienced it. You and yours are free to live your D/s however you choose, and that is to be respected. Personally speaking I find keeping a score card of infractions incurred while under the influence of pregnancy, to be addressed at a later date to be rather unjust.

Just my .02

Congratulations of the birth of your son!.. There is a wonderful book entittled. "Health care without shame" by charles Moser Ph.D M.D and it is a great book to purchase and give to your doctor. It talksa bout how to tell them and how important it is so let them know what type of activities that you engage in. I would take the time to read the book, and also provide your physician with a copy. No one else is qualified to answer a health realted questioned other than your wifes physician.

In peace,

Eden

Then again, who says there should be justice? :-)

I once told my daughter to be ready for gym class by 9am or she was going in her nightgown. She only had to go to gym class once in her nightgown and was never again late getting ready.

The whole thread is good, and belated congratulations to MC and Lisa, however I just had to respond to Sinergy's post. I did this to my daughter years ago (I believe she was 9 or 10). She was like waking up Linda Blair in character for the Excorcist!!! Finally one morning, I just picked her up, carried her to the car (with a little bag containing her school clothes and toothbrush), and took her beautiful sleeping self to school. Imagine her surprise when she woke up in front of the school!!!

The next morning she was up and in the shower at 0530. I haven't had a "Linda Blair" moment with her since. By golly, it works! For Social engagements, if I say we are leaving at 7:00 p.m., she is ready to go at 6:30 p.m. [;)]

While that does sound like a hoot to behold* to us not your kids* becarefull something like that could be construed as child abuse in the over zelouse abuse monger eyes.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: discipline during pregnancy (10/20/2008 7:55:38 PM)

LOL that reminds me whne I was in the group home, and kids in the house would sometimes refuse to go to school and refuse to come out of the house, and staff had to be called in to manually haul them out of the house and into the car an they were indeed taken to school in their jammies.   They never really believed it'd happen till it did.

I remember one time I refused to dress for school,  I was sent to the time out room then when I was bored and ready to behave myself and get dressed and go to class, had to wait untill the house staff w ere damned good and ready to bring me clothing.
