What's the biggest surprise you've ever received from a submissive?

When was it? What happened? Did it change your attitudes either towards yourself as a Domme or towards submissives in general? How?

Biggest surprise from the outside in....

the male submissive entered into a triad witht he Female Dominant who was already involved with another female and open and honest and straight forward with Her poly nature and intentions. The agreement between them was that he was cool as long as the Female Dominant didn't fuck other men. Years later he talks about being resentful of Her attentions to other women and he meant that he was okay with Her fucking other women She was involved with in a deeply emotional way. And months after that anybody else in Her life sexually wasn't okay...and the male submissive has no recolection of any conversation about his boundaries being anything other than monogamy.

I've actually seen this more than once and with various different gender assignments to different roles. It's fucked up.

Okay... bizzare requests from submissives....

Well, I used to frequent science fiction conventions...

And there was this girl I met who was dressed as Princess Leia (episode 4, the first film... the white dress and the cinnibon hairdo) who was getting pretty close to me by Saturday night, and who invited me up to her room. My surprise as a dominant has to do with encountering a whole lot of confusion and ambivalence about sexuality in submissives (I've never considered a dominant), that interracial relationships are still very much considered taboo by many, and that a whole lot more people want to do black men than I realized.

These experiences changed me in that I am now a lot more observant of what my man responds to, and more verbal and inquisitive when meeting/feeling out someone whom I'm considering incorporating into my life. M

Sadly, it happens much more often than people realize. It's just that few men will talk about it. Most think of sexual abusers as only being men abusing little boys or young girls. I can say from experience that mothers sexually abuse their sons as well.

Others think that teenage girls who are babysitting younger boys are doing them a favor by "making them men". I've met men who were severly traumatized by such experiences. Abuse by sexual predators is not something that's gender specific.

Well over 90% of those who'll experience sexually abuse will be abused by either a family member or a close friend of the family, not by a stereotypical stranger in a raincoat who coaxes a child into their car as the public has been told by the media and would like to believe. More likely it will be mom or dad, cousin Joe, the baseball coach, or the friendly neighbor where the kids all like to hang out. Sexual abuse also tends to run in families and typically gets passed on from generation to generation.

I'm not hijacking the thread I'm just responding...:)

I think there's a big difference between being open about such fetishes kinks and even issues and recognizing them and acting out badly because one hasn't dealt.

I had a moment. And weeks later I looked at Her and said I think that had something to do with the mess my mother put me through...but I really don't even want to deal with that and that trigger because if I thaught too hard on it this relationship wouldn't be possible so can we not talk about it please?

I recognize the abuse from my past and I recognize that this situation isn't abusive. I was just triggered. And I still don't want to talk about it. Which is very different from being resentful because I haven't recognized the problem or dealt with it on any level.
