agorophobia is infact not the opposite of claustrophobia, the proper definition is a disorder related to anxiety, many think you are scared of large places but infact you can create this phobia to any place including restricted areas in relation in that place to an anxiety or panic attack.
i suffer from agorophobia and anxiety, for me i suffer agorophobia to places like school, crowded places, work i have a long history of panic attacks in all these areas and now i will literally go crazy to avoid these things which sucks. but yeah
thought i d clear that up, sorry to go on its just about the only thing i can factually talk about.
cheers

i would love for Master to put me in a cage. Especially right before a scene and let me sit and think of all the yummy things that He was going to do to His puppygirl. That is my idea of a good time

i love the cage idea and have bought a vacbed. tried it once with a friend and the problem was keeping the vacuum sealed without running the vac all the time. i'm sure it can be fixed and would love to be vacsealed and serve as human art at a femdomme gathering.of course no interaction would be needed but the thought of being carressed punched and felt with absolutely nothing i can do about it is awesome

This seems like such an old thread I am probably talking to myself here...but..

The whole mummifying thing is mainly fun for a once-in-a-while experience, not that interesting to do all the time. I have done it with subs, and had it done to me once so that I could feel it. the best part is being freed at the end when you feel reborn.

Now, cages are awesome. A submissive in a cage is suddenly a pet, helpless, on display, at my mercy and inescapably locked down. It's a very very erotic thing.

Mummification can be boring for the dom, but I've found a way to keep it interesting. While doing the wrapping, I put a couple of condiment cups from McDonalds over the nipples and distribute a half dozen or so vibrating eggs under the wrap.

Then when the wrapping is finished, the cups hold the wrap far enough from the nipples that I can get a scalpel in and cut away the wrap, remove the cups and let the nipples poke though into open air. That, by itself, concentrates sensitivity there. Then I amuse myself by turning the eggs on and off at random intervals, leaving enough "down time" so the submissive really appreciates her helplessness.

I also put a pair of headphones on the submissive. The headphones are connected to a device that puts out a low hum. This really covers up any room noises in a way that earplugs can't.

Thanks for those great suggestions. I think you picked up on something that I didn't quite realize I was saying: Mummification is mainly for the mummy. LOL Anyway, naturally there is some appeal to the mummifier, but it is mainly sensation for the submissive. Not a bad thing, by any means, but just not something to make a steady diet of. your suggestions change the calculus to some extent, and gives the mummifier the means to greater enjoyment.

Now, does McDonald's know what you are doing with their condiment cups???

best
Smythe

For me, a cage is a means of reinforcing control (and trust), or a punishment. Some find cages to be comforting, as seen by the other comments. It is something strong, secure, and permanent. The psychology is that steel lasts, while mere flesh is human and ephemeral. That works for both comfort, and for punishment. For those that like cages, it is a means of reinforcing control by putting them in it, and it is a means of building trust because it does envoke that sense of permanence. It can play on the senses in different ways, from the feel of the steel to allowing some form of comfort (a towel, a stuffed animal, etc.) as an additional means of reinforcement.

Mummification is fun, because it can be used for both sensory depravation and for sensory overload. A trick I learned years ago is to place cotton, wrap, or other material between all the fingers and toes, and wrap each limb sep. before doing a full body wrap. It makes an amazing difference that can take it to new levels because it denies even that small amount of contact. For sensory control and overload, wrap in place vibrators and such that can be remote controlled, or given my love for electrical play, plugs, pads, and clips. The person can't move, and that can take it to a new level of intensity, even at what would be low levels of normal play. If you do this, be sure to keep a means of checking on the person so that they don't get too overloaded.

I like that idear of sound deprivation. Sounds like it would keep the sub clueless of they're surroundings

There are several sources of "pleasure" that I've been told about.  Like anything in the scene there are different motivations for different needs.

For some, it's a feeling of "containment" sort of a technological cuddling, a feeling that one is protected and shielded.

Another is that the caging is a material projection of the ownership that her owner has over her.  A tangible symbol.

Of course, with smaller, "little ease" type cages, it can be incredibly painful without leaving any marks and capable for being extended to for days.

It can also be a wonderful forced exhibitionism.  For example, we have a dog cage that we fit with a glass top for parties.  It's used on the edge of the social area so people can stand around it and talk, usually ignoring the naked woman inside.

You would love My slave's cage then, it is a dog cage measuring 20" x 24" x 30",  last time she was in it, she stayed there for 8 hours, without a break and with food and water in dog bowls.

There is an excellent cage for subs at My Museum that is over 6 feet long has bars and is padded on top so I can sleep there or relax , tickle and poke the happy sub below with a stick or flogger or spray her with water .  I enjoy wrapping subs in Plastic wrap so I can still see them but they cannot move , naked but restricted, then I cut holes at strategic places to tickle and poke and explore.

For the cage part of this...I built a small cell with wood and copper piping,I have it standing up and attached to the wall.It leaves out anyone sleeping in there( I could make them sleep standing up*evil thoughts*) I have room for a stool for sitting.I also outfitted it with eye hooks along the walls for wrist cuffs and leg cuffs to be hooked to.I also have a body harness type thing that is able to have a chain hooked to it and then I have a large eye bolt in the ceiling to attach that to it.

I have several ways to wrap up submissives in saran wrap(sitting, standing, laying down),never gets old for Me.I add new variations, like hot oils poured into holes, then cold water, wax is great as long as you dont get the flame to close(BIG ouch on the melted plastic wrap). There is duct taping over the plastic wrap or using chains and rope for bondage before and after wrapping them up.The list goes on and on with a healhty over-active imagination.
