LatexHer -> Personal Hygiene (10/23/2007 8:47:29 AM)

  It is unfortunate that we adults have to discuss this subject from time to time. Perhaps some of you have come across either Masters or slaves who are not exactly the most caring of people when it comes to personal hygiene.  Personal hygiene is an important aspect of sexual play, as is teaching new submissive their place in our dungeons or bedrooms. We recently happened upon an ad on this site from a young switch lady who professed that she hates a man’s cock because it is "smelly"!

  Although we know that some of you Dom/Dommes will profess that you have the right to make your slaves do whatever you order – and that is your personal choice, we will address this issue for others!

 Either in play or in life personal hygiene remains important to most people. Few of us enjoy playing with a woman who has a fiery yeast infection, or has not had a bath in days. For women submissive’s this issue is two fold since many enjoy both sexes. In Europe where circumcisions are not as common as here in the United States – men have medical issues with personal hygiene. If the foreskin is not retracted and cleaned thoroughly, and often – they too can suffer from yeast type infections. “Smegma” the cheesy white substance can form on both women and men’s sexual organs causing an offensive odor. A normal day of pissing can cause either sex to begin to smell.

 As modern people living in the USA we have the means to cleanse our bodies thoroughly. As DOM’s we should avoid distancing subs and slaves by being dirty ourselves. Personally we find it a shame to see ads as this one, from a young women who should enjoy sucking on cocks!

 As for dirty slaves – a bucket of ice cold water, laundry soap, a stiff bristled brush and garden hose, should teach them to be clean for their Master or Mistress – won’t you agree?  ENJOY!

Okay, well first off, the yeast infection isn't any fun for the woman either. In fact, it's down right awful. Next, yeast infections are usually caused by issues other than lack of hygiene. It's not going to go away with a shower.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/23/2007 12:24:19 PM)

Defiunantly agree with Osidegirl on that one...other than that I think I agree with the OP. But please dont equate a yeast infection with improper hygiene.....

It's an interesting technique, for those slaves who can't seem to bathe for their Owners.  But if used because of a yeast infection, it may just teach your slave to not take antibiotics when she is sick, since antibiotics tend to kill off the bacteria that rids the body of yeast overgrowth.

I agree that personal hygiene is extremely important but must also take exception with the notion that poor personal hygiene is the cause of all yeast infections.  They can be caused by any number of things including antibiotics, corticosteriod medications, certain birth control pills, tight-fitting clothes, pregnancy, uncontrolled diabetes, douching, and deodorant tampons.  Also wearing wet swimsuits for prolonged periods, being post-menopausal, as well as having any condition that causes a person to be immunocompromised, such as cancer or HIV/AIDS, increases a person's risk of developing yeast infections.

First off i have regular bouts of BV that is caused for me by stress levels, (its similar to thrush) and due to it and how self conscious it makes me i havent had oral for over three years so adding to it an idea that its anything to do with personal hygine really doesnt help with the already huge sense of shame i get from it (cripes that was personal)

On the male side, im from europe and i am familier with men who havent cleaned themselves properly and it isnt the nicest thing in the world and i would prefer them to have cleaned of course (and have made little comments about it too) but i still love sucking cocks :D

RRafe -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/23/2007 1:58:34 PM)

I'm probably one of the rare men who doesn't have a foreskin-and was not circumcised. And I bathe regularly. One of my biggest pet peeves is with women with a very strong and unpleasant cunt odor. It's probably one of those genetic things. I've turned women down as play partners due to it-just couldn't get an erection in the presence of that STINK.[&:]

windchymes -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/23/2007 5:37:18 PM)

Personally, I always wonder what could be living in heavy facial hair.....

(Funny bit of irony, but that statement was obviously NOT directed at the person directly above me....[;)])

Lucylastic -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/24/2007 4:43:07 AM)

ok its early here but why am I having hot thoughts about taking a scrubbing brush  and a garden hose to all "smegheads" (oh having a Red Dwarf moment).
Smegma occurs in women and men naturally, oils and other secretions build up throught the day, but is totally different to a yeast infection, which is as  mentioned above, very different to not being "clean".
Smegma in its normal state doesnt cause the itching, redness, discharge and sheer hell of a fiery yeast infection.
going to have a shower now!!!!

IamJustMe2C -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/24/2007 7:49:17 AM)

I agree yeast infections have nothing to do with hygiene. Men can have a yeast infection ( not as easially as a woman) but they can still have them. Then there is the jock itch as well. This is just from prolonged exercise and sweeting. There are some women out there that have a natural musky odor to them. As far as that goes so do men. This can be contributed to diet. NOT just food but what we drink as well. The taste of a mans cum can be directley linked to what he drinks. As well as how a woman tastes can be directley linked to what she drinks. A woman secreats more juices then a man we just have a different name for it. If we want to change to flavor of this try drinking pinapple juice about a half hour before hand and you will find a sweater flavor. YES this goes for both sexes

EclipseAbove -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/24/2007 9:12:20 AM)

Pineapple juice does make a significant difference in how a man's cum tastes.  I don't know about how it affects women, but it makes sense that it would make a difference.  I haven't found that timing is all that important with regards to how much it affects the taste.  I have a glass in the morning and my slave says it makes all the difference.  However, other foods can have a negative effect as well, especially things like onions.

dawntreader -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/26/2007 8:49:41 AM)

Cleanliness, mine and my partner's is very important to me. So are clean sheets and bath linens. i do not find body odors or sweat smells erotic and i would rather a Dominant meet me in the nude, dripping wet from the shower,  than in a ratty pair of shorts, stained and wrinkly t-shirt and dirty white socks. And yes, this has happened on a recently scheduled playdate.

i am a backcountry, long distance hiker...i can deal with dirt in its proper enviroment. But when it comes to sex and play....poor hygeine and self-carelessness are a hard limit, right there with kareoki~

grlneedstolearn -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/26/2007 2:02:29 PM)

Yes, i can agree with you. i hate it when i'm meeting a Dom and they smell of sweat and body odor. i personally take a shower beforehand at least 30-45 min so i won't smell all icky and gross. Even now sometimes when i get home from work or school before my Dom comes over, i'll get in the shower just because i feel "dirty". That way he has a nice smelling sub when he comes over :D

yumibarb -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/30/2007 11:40:50 AM)

 I am a nurse practitioner OB-GYN and girls let me tell you - personal hygiene is very important. Yes, we can get yeast infections from many things including antibiotics. At the hospital where I work, we see many women who come in and complain about guess what - terrible itching! After the doctor looks at the medical information provided by the patent he prescribes for yeast infections "Fluconazole" which most of you should be familiar with. Clears up most yeast infections in a few days, most of you know this already.

 But than again we have some women that come in and as soon as the panties come off OMG what a disaster. I have seen used everything from used condoms, old toilet paper, to crap stuck in the labia lips! Come on girl’s hygiene is important especially in play. Keep the pussy clean, as well as your overly tight jeans and thongs!

A dirty dick will give you an infection too, so guys how about a scrubbing now and then!
But the way I read the posting from this guy – he was complaining about dirty dicks, mostly and smell – maybe all who posted were a little self conscious?  Perhaps?

I often shower twice a day. If a girl dared to come to me that dirty-she'd find herself in the shower-getting that dirty hole scrubbed out with a vegeatable brush.

hobbit9sub4u -> RE: Personal Hygiene (10/31/2007 2:44:09 AM)

i would think that would cause some real damage, or am i not thinking veggie brush means the same thing to you as it means to me? *is confused*

Wow.  This thread was really good bedtime reading.  I can just imagine the nightmares now, and I wish I couldn't.  Bleck.  Hooray for clean, nice-smelling people!

mya75 -> RE: Personal Hygiene (11/2/2007 1:25:32 AM)

I agree totally with you *Yumibarb* myself having worked in the medical field I do know that cleansing of the ladies genitalia is far more than just taking the soap and rag and washing down there....one must part the folds so to speak and cleanse and rinse thoroughly ........never having a yeast infection myself I can not even begin to try to relate...but I have heard tight jeans and thongs as well as tight colored undies contribute to getting a yeast infections....I dont wear any of the above listed items and never have....for the younger ladies who may not even realize there is more to personal hygeine the first step would be to grab a mirror and spend some time in the bathroom.....

MissMagnolia -> RE: Personal Hygiene (11/2/2007 1:42:47 AM)

Keep using soap down there and you may well have a vile itch and infection very soon mya. I've been in the medical field too, and it's best to use something very mild like vaginal wash or even sorbelene lotion or cream. Sorbelene is also good for those who suffer skin irritations elsewhere on the body. Barring infections, basic hygiene is easy.

I have come across some men who really stink, in the plumbers crack to be precise, especially in summer, and they often don't realise just how foul it is. Take a hint guys, there's no "perfumed garden" down your pants either.
