KarbonCopy,

great thread but every time I read it I get that hair commercial song stuck in my head. 'You make me feel like a natural woman', it is making me nuts ! I knew a girl who would dedicate that song to her Owner all the time.

My intent was never to establish a "who's better than who" type thing. I've just come to the conclusion that there may be two different types of lifestylers, and if ther is a difference, we should try to better understand this difference in order to learn more about the people.

i'm sorry i'm really tired. . . did that make sense?

Well relax, I dont think of the vanilla lifestyle as something bad. It was almost a bit of humour, but next time I'll try and keep the jokes to a minimal.

First off, I'm one of those that shudder every time someone says that they are a "natural" or "true" anything. This always seems to be something cut and paste right out of castlerealm...AKA BDSM-for-the online-crowd-by-the-online-crowd-without-knowing-what-the-hell-we're-talking-about.com.

Are we seeing a new generation? Yes. Most certainly, but it has absolutely nothing to do with being "natural".

I believe that some people may be genetically inclined to seek out a dominant or submissive position within a relationship, but it is a matter of when the person is exposed to BDSM and what information they are exposed to that determines if and when they will take the next step and how "corrupted" they will be.

Hello There,
I don't think a natural sub or slave has any more or less value or capabilities than the other. The mind is a very powerful tool when it comes to behavior modification. A willing and devoted sub/slave, regardless of weather they have the natural ability, or have learned the path with a little more effort can both behave in similar ways as far as habits and responses. It's just something that the natural sub/slave is able to process and understand the reasoning or affect behind the action without as much processing required to make it click in place and make sense.
We all have things we are good at. We are involved in relationships that have as many components and layers you could view a person like an onion, as far as the different components of someone’s personality.
I think natural sub/slaves once harvested are peeled well into the middle from the first notions turning themselves on in their minds. Non-natural but devoted to the learning path sub/slaves just have more peeling they have to peel on their own to catch up. Both types of them have the same middles it's just how easy they can peel the layers back and expose their soft middles is the difference.

To answer the question and not jump into the debate. i think "natural" as opposed to unnatural is this. Natural, its IN THEM.. inside of them.. part of who they are.. and un natural.. it is a role for them.

Hrm. What about those of us who feel that it is natural to us, but didn't realize it till we "discovered" it.

That is, I always knew what felt good and right to me. Very much like MadameDahlia, I had experience with Barbies before I even had an understanding of how "sex" worked and was tying myself up as soon as I figured out how to tie knots.

That said, I didn't think =anyone= else did anything like this. I figured it was just another one of those crazynesses that was unique to me. I figured that I was the only person into this type of stuff.

Then I discovered it :) It gave a name and a shape to the things that I did because they felt good, and gave me a whole lot o' fantasy fodder :)

I dunno. I think there's more to it than "find out about it" vs "always know what they want"
