As I was scrolling through the pages of discussions on this thread and as it shifted I noticed the irony of discussion on definitions yet the very clear twisting of the term own to encompass submissives and just thought I would add those two cents.

i wanted to comment on this...Daddy absolutely owns me.  i am his property.

however, the way he refers to me is "my most precious possesion".  he doesnt consider me  like a table or a chair, but the most precious thing he owns.  i feel prized, and safe, and cherished by his ownership.

For the beginning I can easily see how one can have more than one dom/master, for some folks their needs are filled in different ways by different people. Just as there are many forms of love I can see many forms of multiple dominance. shootingstar submissives can indeed be owned, I've been owned for 8 years this winter and I am not a slave. He is not my master but my dominant. Chelle I don't get why you keep saying you will drop a subject then keep on going with such a negative attitude, I really don't get it. It feels like you have zero interest in learning other views only claiming your view is the right one, for all. LA.. ah LA sometimes it drives me bonkers when you post a list of threads and other times [like now] when I wish that not only you post the threads but could somehow manage to make people actually read them . Aquachickie and the.dark (seeeeee? I finally recognised ya lol) I'm glad both of you tried to get across the ideas concerning personal realities. Although I do not think it had much effect, alas. Osidegirl I have no clue as to how your post got so twisted lol, I saw it as a personal POV post. It struck me that your stated POV was taken as an absolute by those very ones who state absolutes as their POV. IrishMist I wish more would set aside emotion and preconceived ideas but like I've said to a few here I'm beginning to think it is a futile endeavor. It is possible that I have finally been bitten by the CM-Cynical Bug  subspace08 the debate of slave/submissive definitions is one that will continue forever or until people grasp the concept that every persons perspective will differ. I very rarely make a post like this one, but it struck many chords within me. In particular the absolute belief in absolutes.  Now I need some more coffee, mine got cold while typing so much!   Edit, oopsie. sambamanslilgirl nice job on explaining your relationship in clear concise terms! Heh I kept adding 'm's to your nick and having to backspace.

Status: offline 		I am a selfish Master I don't share well so therefore having another claiming even a small part of my property just wouldn't set well in fact IT would not work at all,I have also been on the other side of the coin where an owner would send their property to us for assessment and training in a particular fetish but again I don't share my toys very well..bounty
