The Longest I Believe is Psalms 119

will be right with you."

I am 90%-95% sure the bible doesn't mention oral sex.

the bible never specifically mentions "oral sex"... though i did know of websites that seem to want to interpret all kinds of scriptures as though the bible were specifically talking about oral sex. So.. i guess depending on your "interpretation" of things, you could choose to believe the bible covertly talks about oral sex.

Not mentioned specifically - however it can be interpreted of sorts in the songs of solomon/song of songs...

"Awake, O north wind, and come, wind of the south; make my garden breathe out fragrance. Let its spices be wafted abroad. May my beloved come into his garden and eat its choice fruits!”

...and other such verses.

Peace and Love

Turn, Turn, Turn
(adapted from Ecclesiastes by Pete Seeger)

That's probably about as religious as I get. But I like the thought there is a time for everything, sorrow, joy, coming together, falling apart, etc.

edited to change sorry to sorrow oopsie

Mine is Job, because God explicitly rejects every argument you hear from evangelists and other apologists today.

I can't say that I have read enough of the Bible to have a favorite book. Of course, as a Christian I have to mention that the Gospels are the most important books and that they put every other one into context. But that said....

I would agree with pinkpleasures. Psalms cover just about every human emotion and attitude God and other people that you can imagine. The emotions, sometimes raw, still ring true today.

I absolutely adore Job.

Because God is sort of like, "Who's your Daddy?" He's so Dominant. It's hot.

My favorite book is the book of John, to me, it portrays Jesus as being the most human.

KK; if we're going to discuss hot sex in the bible, my favorite is Mary Magdelene washing Jesus' feet with her tears and then drying them with her hair. What a perfect moment of a submissive woman tending to her Man's needs. As a kid i thought Mary Magdelene rocked; i was disciplined severely for my questions about Jesus and Mary Magdelene...LOL.

quote:

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that [Jesus] sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

Luk 7:38 And stood at his feet behind [him] weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe [them] with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed [them] with the ointment.

what is the shortest verse in the bible? no cheating.... no looking on a search engine....

from my understanding.... theology classes... "Jesus wept" in the original text was only one word. the reason it was deemed the shortest verse in the original Text.
