Does a slave have rights?

LaTigresse -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:17:53 PM)

Did you by any chance do a search of old threads before starting this one?

OldBastardly1 -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:24:05 PM)

This reminds me of the song "fuck the po po". The mean cop reads the guy his rights....." the only right you have is to shut the fuck up!" [sm=banana.gif]

It doesn't matter what any individual claims to be, he or she has all the rights of a 'regular' human being save for what she's given up and consented to. And continues to consent to. There may be an *illusion* of no rights, but with today's laws and the legal system, once she stops waiving them, especially retroactively, you're pretty much screwed. That's why it's important for a Dominant to respect and trust his submissive as well as the other way around.

Personally, I'd reccomend actually -thinking- and reading around before posting a question like this. It's entirely your perogative to do so, but you're likely gonna get flamed before and after the people who try to post honest answers.

LittleWench -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:33:16 PM)

I assume you are talking about consentual slavery, and not the illegal form of slavery where people are kidnapped, stolen from families, spouses murdered, children tortured, abused, etc.

Every person, regardless of age, colour, race, religion has basic human rights.  As "consentual slavery" is not legal, not recognized in a court of law, those human rights go with you whether or not you choose to identify as a slave... no one can (without breaking the law) take them from you, they must be surrendered.  Whether your Master wishes to acknowledge those rights, or whether you wish to claim those rights, are up to you both to define.

LaTigresse -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:33:38 PM)

Now that reminds me of Ron White. "I had the right to remain silent, but not the ability."

Are you the slave?

What you will end up asking is this.....

Does MY slave have rights? If this is a contractural question, you can better believe the bill is in the mail.

Ron

DesFIP -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:49:52 PM)

Legally? Because yes.
And no matter if your contract says you are to sign over title to your grandmother's house once you inherit it, that's unenforcable.

Realistically? Nobody knows ahead of time what their reactions to strange situations may be. So to help a relationship succeed, any intelligent person will build in renegotiation to cover unforeseen problems.

vampchick88 -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 1:52:37 PM)

 The right to be safe from mortal harm, the right to breathe is optional if you decide to do breath play just try to make sure they get in one gasp before turning completely purple. The right to eat, sleep, and to have some sort of shelter, cages are especially nice.

lovethewhip -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 2:16:38 PM)

Forgive me for posting the question.  I'm a newbie.  Thank

masterlink65 -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 4:55:02 PM)

that depends on the slave and master, and the terms agreed. fulltime slave or part time, are you under consideration from a master to be owned? or is this part time fun? all terms need to be agreed upon before recieving a collar 24/7. if this is part time, it would not be wise to be giving up anything other than the time for your scene, until something furthers the need to start planning for ownership, (if and when )...  some master may consider it rights, others may consider it priviledge, while other masters may have you earn it. are you talking human rights, or rights in the world of being owned property of a master. ?

i see no need for you to ask for forgiveness.

CelticPrince -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 5:13:28 PM)

whip,

I do not develope slave relationships, but the classic reply is that a slave does not forgo her rights as a human person.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 6:12:58 PM)

Whatever they want to have.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 6:16:38 PM)

Yes they do. It is whatever is negotiated by those involved. I consented and willingly became his slave. As different things come up in our relationship things are talked about and redone sometimes. It is a constantly evolving process.

Lumus -> RE: Slave rights (12/5/2007 6:23:31 PM)

You have the right to remain ball-gagged.

Any toy you have can and will be used against you.

You have the right to get spread on the pavement.  If you cannot spread on the pavement, an assistant will be provided to aid you in the spreading.

This is sort of like limits, if the Master says you have rights, you have rights or you have the rights he allows you.  If he/she/it says you have no limits, you probably still have limits, they are just his/her/its limits, not your own.
