isn't it sad, and have you also noticed that a lot of those good people no longer post here? if all the good people leave. What will happen to these boards.

Good people means those who agree with you doesn't it?

Eh... but what do I know? I'm just an owned sub whose owner would never tolerate the "subblier than thou" behavior you display.

ModeratorEleven -> RE: Behavior (12/16/2007 10:51:49 PM)

Ok folks, the comments are getting a little more personal than they need to be.  Please try to keep the forum rules in mind when/if you feel the need to post.

Assuming that most of us learn basic etiquite and manners prior to realizing our D/s roles...wouldn't a lack of manners(as implied) be a reflection of one's upbringing? Those of us "ownerless" types are just as capable of common courtesy as our collared sisters, and seem to display it quite frequently: having no"One" to hide behind.  But actually, who cares in this medium if people aren't behaving quite like Emily Post?  i wasn't even aware these forums required a "polite-o-meter"  in order to post.....Sorry if i'm rambling, i'm sure that is in poor taste.

i can see your point, yes.  however, the dominant has the right and ability to request/order his/her submissive to change their behavior.

polite is something that some people do.  and some people decide "well its only an online forum, who cares if i show my ass and make myself look an idiot?"  i try not to because it bothers my personal sense of shame, much less how Daddy sees me.  that doesnt mean i dont slip up and fuck up, it just means it bothers me when i do.

kitten, rolling out the list of disclaimers, y'all's milage may vary, Daddy doesnt read the forums so i have to police myself, this statement was not pre-approved by lawyers or any known dominant living or dead, statement not known to carry any toxic substance or known carcenogen, all statements are from the mind of the known deranged and subject to change at any moment...  *wanders off stilll muttering disclaimers

Kalista07 -> RE: Behavior (12/17/2007 12:08:13 AM)

heh........Okay, i'm going to try and be nice.....i'm also going to try to make the words stop dancing on the screen thingy but haven't been very successful at that tonight either..heh...

There's a few things i want to say: 1. Cant we all just get along?
                                                   2. Suck it up...
                                                   3. Recognnize that these people (most of them) are just words on a page, just pixels mostly....So, if someone hurts your feelings, upsets You, irritates You what ever else they may do to You (or You may allow them to do to You) walk awaaaaay from the computer....Seriously...Shut it off....Go interact with some real live human beings...Call someone and ask them how they are doing...Interact with someone but don't bring up anything about You...Get out of Yourself.....

just my thoughts, may be out there,
Kali

I also take this as a "I have someone in my life and you don't so I'm a twue submissive" thread.

Either way it makes me shake my head at some of the generalizations.

immature and probably lonely and bitter.  i also believe that their behavior is one of the main reasons they are alone.
   How can you even begin to understand how a person lives his/her life if you only know them from on-line?  You are experiencing one little piece of them, certainly not them in their entirety.

I wonder what your dom thinks of your thinking patterns.

So Jeff, what You are saying is that anyone can come on here and for no reason insult you, call you names, attact you and try to demean you and make you feel bad when you have done nothing to them and it's ok, because it's their view point?

For example"

Some one writes a post: i live in dallas and my Master just left. i'm feeling sad. Does anyone have any words of encouragement for me to help me out?

Response:

Get over it! You're a loser. You sound so pathectic. get a life and stop whinning.

That response is ok because it's the poster's point of view and the poster's right to attack another human being who is asking sincerely for help and reaching out?

In a word....yes., just as it is the OP's right to ignore it

Jeff

He picked me not because I go around smiling sweetly, lowering eyes to everyone around but because I am highly intelligent, highly judgmental and I saved my submission for someone who deserves it, for the only man I have ever met who comes up to my high standards.

He likes the fact that I don't go around subbing to all and sundry, on or offline, he enjoys being the only one I view as worthwhile. And as I have said innumerable times, his rules prohibit me from submitting to anyone else

[sm=applause.gif][sm=applause.gif][sm=applause.gif]Yes!  This is exactly how it is for Master and I.  Well said!.................luci

If this thread exists I'm sorry I missed it.  But then I probably would have been chiming in on the "get a life" column.  Because I'm all bitter and lonely.    [8D]

mnottertail -> RE: Behavior (12/17/2007 5:59:11 AM)

But you have the saving grace that you know what whining is; as well as having the connection to the cosmos to hear the silence of the lambs, Clarrisse.

KatyLied -> RE: Behavior (12/17/2007 6:02:21 AM)

And how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet? Make an effort to answer now.

DesFIP -> RE: Behavior (12/17/2007 6:25:28 AM)

I find it funny that the people who complain about being flamed the most are the people who do the most flaming and don't recognize it.

I am frequently blunt and without tact but I rarely get flamed because I don't flame anyone unless they have already shown their true colors and been flaming right and left.

As I said, the way to have friends is to be one. Once you've already gone out of your way to be abusive to anyone who thinks differently than you, or who unknowingly hits all your many insecurity buttons, you've moved onto my list of people not worth respecting. At which point I don't bother using my small amount of tact, instead I save it for those who deserve it.

If other people's words bother you, that shows you are the one who is insecure, do something about your own problems instead of blaming everyone else. Online and off, your perceptions and your problems are your own, own them and the responsibility to change them.

Well Ron, I didn't want to be a Spelling-Nazi (well, today anyway), so I, with great restraint, chose to overlook the atrocities until I got to attacted... then I lost control and could no longer resist.

Yes, I am ashamed.

Some people are all knowing, even they cannot spell worth a damn.

Who knows if there even is a dom? He could be figment of the imagination?

KatyLied -> RE: Behavior (12/17/2007 11:38:27 AM)

Well all I know is that I am on a quest to be sublier.    [:D]
