It's not as rare as you obviously think it is, OP, and it does happen. I met my Master here quite by accident as I wasn't looking for anyone at all. We met through the forums here on CM and now we're engaged and I'm moving out in a few weeks to Ontario Canada to him. Or does that not count as "real" to you? Moving over 2200 miles and to a new country to be with the person you love? It's very real and I can tell you that we're very happy.
If you're not getting the results you want, I'd suggest re-evaluating your profile and your attitude. I worked in customer service for 18 years and know that one's attitude is so very important. A person can think they're being positve when it doesn't seem positive to other people. Or perhaps stop looking so hard and just let life happen for a bit. Relax, have some fun. And good luck.....
