I don't you about you folks but it seems that some media publishers are out to ruin the fun of the Alternative Lifestyle, those of us who love fetish, kink, bdsm and free expression. A publication that goes by the name The West Coast Midnight Run has now for years conducted an anti Lifestyles campaign, ongoing in its articles, with innuendo, snide remarks and just a lotta disguises hatred. From their story on Assy McGee a few years ago to their recent "Gut Talk?", "Jive Talkin Romantic Interludes" and "Eating Your Food Cold". Someone needs to contact their faggot editors, complain, boycott their nazi sponsors, do some thing, I mean this is ridiculous. Their publisher, Citadel, I believe is a government contractor. These are neo-con republican dirt bags. Are you going to sit still for this? Their website is at http://www.midnighttracks.net I have sent in a few comments but they have not responded. It's been my experience that most people who have issues with this lifestyle are basing those issues on hollywood versions of what we engage in. Our relationships are not innately abusive, degrading, or offensive. Submissive does not equate to victim. Dominants are not innately selfish in their desires. Some of these statements are true for some relationships, but some of these statements are true of some vanilla relationships as well. Once these people find out what we're really about, most of them are notably more tolerant. There are exceptions, of course - some simply will not listen, refuse to learn, and have no interest in understanding that which they rant on and on about. These, unfortunately, tend to be the loudest of decriers, and have the potential to do the most damage in the long run. After all, scream loud and long enough, and someon's bound to listen. MasterHX

(And since they're on the West Coast, five of those are probably fish). Looking at their site, unless I missed something they only publish once a year? hasbeenfool, If they have been around for years, then they really haven't been having much of an impact on us, have they? If they were the media giant, swaying public opinion with the swipe of their poisoned pen (as you surmise) I think we would have heard of them by now. Besides, they have every right to their stupid, pig ignorrant opinion. Just as you do. Just as I do. Just as everyone does. It's called the First Ammendment, and it works just as well for the creeps on the right as it does for the nice people on the left. Oh, and, as I'm sure the other posters will tell you: using "faggot" in this space as a derrogatory term will not make you any brownie points. If you're THIS f*cking clueless, bud, you need some serious educating before you can talk among the adults, and be taken seriously.

My sincere apologies for fellow lovers of thrashing their fellow members. I used "faggot" in its proper meaning, those who surmise deragotary must have been staring at themselves in the mirror when they typed this. Those guys are playing the mainstream audiences but hey don't believe me. The speed with which each of you so far has responded really informs me that you took your time to look through their content. One volume per year? Shuuuure. But each volume is an endless pit of opinion editorials filled with venom. I am not saying anything here. You are absolutely correct. Each is entitled to their own personal opinions. But I perceived an orchestrated campaign to do away with any liberal freedoms we enjoy as members of the alternative lifestyles. BTW, Is it now forbidden to express your anger emotions with any measure of freedom? Those who just defended these guys came down on me for using an expression guaranteed to me by the First Ammendment. I am a long-time member of this group so how could you possibly perceive "faggot" as having sexual connotations? You never heard of a behavioral asshole? Thanks though for just reading and not blasting my ass with comments that digress from the subject. I noticed many individuals here rather than comment on the topic at hand, the issue raised, are experts at changing the topic of conversation, avoiding the main issue altogether. You are absolutely correct Lucylastic. Really slipped my mind how caring some individuals are on this website. You can tell some people here are just hanging around looking to just shoot down any opinion that is "out of bounds" from their acceptable routine banter. Anyone challenges the status quo around here and hey, you ignorant blah blah blah.... Thanks though for being the most understanding poster. The negativity here from people who are so open-minded and positive is just bewildering if not totally crushing. I have Verizon DSL so their download speed is just average.

ok, yeah it is annoying when there is a publication (or other news source.) that is bad mouthing the lifestyle. Well hey! Guess what? Freedom of the press. remember that from school boys and girls? anything that is alternative has in past,(and probably will again.) come under fire with those that love to get their panties in a twist. pagans,those in the GLBT communities, the list goes on and on.

Most of those responding have not bothered in addressing the issues raised in the first place, chosing instead to attack and change the subject. I have posted responses to the early comments which many responders appear to have not read in their eagerness to prove their prowess in spitting out canned comments and messages. Finally it appears a few of you out there are blind automaton supporters of media, any media, apparently under the illusion that any media group is Untouchable, possibly from all the "positive" images that shows like Jerry Springer, Oprah and a few others have done in "normalizing" BDSM as something as casual as bread and butter. Thanks though to everyone who took the time to punch their keyboard. Oh and I am sure this publication is nothing of note, trouble is I NEVER had heard of it until now, possibly indicating they are starting to make inroads into the visible spectrum of public consumption. Don't kick me if I have been a fool, I thought it was my future that I had slipped from my hand.

I never hit your link, I am rather careful about going to spam sites... I do not watch TV, so I do not know what you are elluding to in regard to supporters of the media crap. Those that hit your link seem to think that you are trying to boost your hit numbers... I think that since I know their posts better than yours I will just believe what they post about your link... You could have apologized for insulting gay people, that you haven't shows me that I really do not care what you are posting about...
