I have a couple of scars, not BDSM related..but I'm started to believe placement of the scars makes a big difference whether people want them or not.

..from all of the responses I'm guessing scars are possible from a simple whipping..oh boy

It really depends on the kind of toy used, what it is made of, and how hard it is used. For example, my scar wouldn't have happened if the dominant hadn't gotten the same area so much - he flogged in many other areas and I've played with him using the exact same flogger other times. It only scarred once. Luckily mine is on my back, low enough that I don't think it's ever revealed unless I'm running around shirtless.

The only reason that I would get of mine if I could is because Valyraen didn't leave it. It's really not a big deal for me, but if there was a perfect "Scar-Be-Gone" gel, I would chose to only keep the scars he left on my body.

I wonder if there are Dom(mes) who like to inflict permanent scars and how their sub/slaves feel about it.
Mmm i have thoughts about this.....to really damage what you own. Like driving you car un purpose against a tree, but then worse.

My fiance has a scar on her collarbone, she says its the best present I ever gave her. and when I see it I see it as a reminder of all that we have shared. I can see the appeal of scarring, definately.

if you know what you are looking for and you look really closely, my back and butt are covered in tiny whip scars...but they aren't like the healed back of a criminal that had been whipped as punishment 400 years ago...there is one whip scar that is still prominent, that i consented to specifically as part of a demo...its still as bright as it was a year later...but that might be because the girl that did my cutting the day after put something containing aloe vera on it....i saw that someone else mentioned putting aloe vera on scars to minimize...well, i may be the only one - at least that i know of, but being allergic to the stuff, it maximizes scars....

i like my scars, they tell a story...but i have to agree to them being put there...
