Lucy, can't say as I've ever heard the chicken version...but I was a closet Muppet fan the entire time they were on TV.....I actually went to all of the Muppet movies......while in the Army!  At one point, I knew about half the words to "It's not easy being green" and "The Rainbow Connection".......OMG...how sad is that?

Oh Mickey what a pity, you don't understand,
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand........

DAMN....now I have to go turn Barry on to get that little loop of lyrics outta my head.......

OR, there's always this little ditty.....

It's a small world after all,
It's a small world after all,
It's a small world after all....
It's a small, small world!

Fortunately, that's all I know of that one.....

I can't help but think the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers cd's my 12yo UM is listening to are going to be listed on some forum somewhere in about 15 years as music she can't believe she loved so much.  lol  Thank God for iPods and headphones....  I even catch myself singing along now.  ::shudder::

If one only knows the melody, but not the words, does it make it any less shameful?

Soul to share...your mentioning the cats songs? I have a version of Glenn Milers In the Mood, where its sung/squawked to by chicken...I believe it was a  muppets song, but every time I hear it, it makes me squeal with laughter, I love it
Lucy

Oh, did that remind me of my high school days.  We had a Senior Slave Day and I was auctioned off to one of my classmates who cleverly made this costume that was a chick hatched out of an egg.  I was in my English class and was not singing, but clucking to that song.  I even made my English teacher laugh so hard, she had to get out of the room and she was an old, tough, woman, too.

Are we reserving a collarme section, subtee? Or do we sit by ourselves because of the shame?

Granted everyone else who would be attending will be also be paying for the privilege of public acknowledgement of their shame and loserness, I suggest we lean on each other for support. I wouldn't want to go as a single solitary loser. It would be like the time I stood outside WalMart, waiting for it to open...

[oh for the love of everything that's holy save me from myself--I really did this]

I am assuming you had a good reason, and not just a random shopping urge?

I did! I really did! It was for the UMs for a school project, otherwise no, hard limit.

Hate me?

I think that's a good excuse, and since it is otherwise a hard limit, you're still okay:)

OK, Level.   Consider yourself challenged:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4hpCT6GIIw

They learned ALL that phonetically.   And I know for a fact that they sold all of the family donkeys for one microphone.
