Would it still hold the EXIF data?

It might. If you're not sure, downlaod a program like "Exifer" to strip all exif-data and thumbnails from your images.

Yes. Exifer is freeware as are other supposed Exif-editing Windows programs.
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/Exifer.html

With Exifer, you can, for example, redate your college-days photos to make them appear as if they were taken tomorrow! heh heh ...

Another approach is jhead freeware which will completely replace (or wipe out if you like) the EXIF data from one set of photos to another set of photos.  You can get jhead here http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Jhead-Download-81751.html
But jhead is a command line tool (not hard to use, but not for the average bloke).

Then again, who on CM is an average bloke anyway?

Well, I wouldn't bother with anything that could potentially be reversed, like "swirling" or negative reversal... No, if I'm a little leery of whom I'm sending pics to, I just crop my face and distinguishing characteristics out. Photos of  my face come from pro portrait studios. (The most deniable as being "Vanilla" IMHO)

Generally, I don't get into photography though. It's way too easy for you to lose control of images.

With that jhead software, do you mean you can actually "alter" the Exifer info?  Now that might be fun!!!
Like...if someone goes to get it you can say...."You're being a very bad boy, nosing around like that"  LOL

Yup. The three most common jhead operations are

1. Transfer EXIF data from photo1 to photo2
jhead  -te  photo1.jpg  photo2.jpg

2. Remove the EXIF thumbnail (especially if you previously cropped out other people!)
jhead -jt groupshot.jpg

3. Remove both the EXIF information and the EXIF thumbnail
jhead -purejpg cleanpic.jpg

What other tricks do you experts use to obfuscate the origin of your pictures?
So far, I've heard:

a) Use someone else's picture (preferably better looking someone elses)
b) Remove EXIF thumbnails & time/date/location data
c) Don't show identifying characteristics (like faces)
d) Blur or swirl identifying body parts
e) Use "vanilla" pro shots for deniability
f) ???

I just wanted to know if you could alter the Exifer info into a desired sentence or statement.

Certainly. You can write entire paragraphs into the comment section, for example. Or put any desired text into the copyright field. Or many other fields. So, yes, you could write "hey, what'cha lookin' here fer?" or "gotcha" or something like that into the EXIF data! heh heh ...
