Okay... does anyone else have a problem with this?  I tend to have a lot of nightmares, so I talk and moan in my sleep.  It's pretty much constantly.  Last night was the first night He and I slept together, and He said that I kept Him awake...

I can't help it!  Is there some sort of pill for this or something??? I really don't want to sleep on the floor....LOL

Perhaps he meant to try a little 'herb' before you go to sleep...
*lol*
I don't think there is a cure for talking in your sleep. I find it fun to mess with people who are talking in their sleep...(bit of the sadist in me, eh?)

good luck!

it is fun to mess with people who talk in their sleep!
but you can also wind up finding out thing you never wanted to know....

sometimes simply poking them and telling them to be quiet works
(mumbles sorry and rolls over...)

Ask your doctor for a referral to a sleep specialist. But have a full physical in the meantime. Ask the specialist's office if there are any other tests they want done so you can bring all the results in with you.

Are you under a lot of stress lately and not finding ways to relieve it during the daytime?

I talk in my sleep, I raise an arm up and keep it sticking straight up for hours in my sleep (no, I have no idea why and it is weird weird lol) and I too have astonishingly vivid nightmares. Most of that is due to medication I take.. so I ask, are you on any medication be it prescribed or OTC? As DESfip suggests, go see your doctor just to rule anything out. Typically if I am nudged or rolled over I will stop and sleep quietly.

Heh talking in my sleep? That's the least I do... Sexomniac (apparently it really does exists.. spelling??) anyone, I have on numerous occasions made sexual advances and even had sex with my partner and not been awake.. Apparently if she didn't feel like it she'd simply tell me that she's asleep and I would leave her alone.
Another one that springs to mind is body slamming my poor partner while I was dreaming of playing some kind of football.... she wasn't impressed.
But yep I talk, argue, bitch and other assorted things in my sleep apparently.... personally I usually don't remember a damm thing.
But apparently I don't snore... bonus!!

You could try hypnosis, or other methods to see if there's a specific cause and to alleviate them.  I even know a slave who is forbidden to have certain dreams and the order alone is enough to keep it from her (she's kinda weird though)

Fox and Angel both talk in their sleep when they have nightmares or bad dreams. I know for Angel, tylenol PM  quiets the "demons" enough that he makes it through the night. Fox usually does it for short bursts, then rolls over and its done. Talk to your doctor and see if a mild sleep aid might help.

i am a total talker in my sleep and will talk about anything from cactusus *sp?* to ice cream to the weather. i also tend to have really bad nightmares and flashbacks where i will relive my past, not a good one in that sense either. i was told to try a sleep medication like Ambien or something along those lines, but i'm a little iffy on trying them. i used to take Benedryl to sleep and that helped, but it's more short term than long term.

i have the same problem, and i tend to act out whatever i'm dreaming. i really freaked out one of my last dommes by sitting sit up and demanding to know what she expected to get out of our relationship and then just laying back down. i was told journaling might help if your trigger may be similar to mine, in that my brain literally doesn't switch off the way that it's supposed to and i keep processing stuff like i would if i was awake. the journaling's just supposed to help get enough information processed that i can relax and sleep soundly.

Well He elbowed me a few times and I just woke up and went right back to sleep.  And then started mumbling and stuff again.  I am stressed out, but not super stressed.  Just every day normal things.

I was having a dream about some crazy stuff, it involved a bunch of people and at the end of it, He put a shovel through my stomach......... I hate nightmares.  But He said that I moaned and said "That was unreal........."  LMFAO

I have never said Unreal in my LIFE.

I think I am gonna try asking my doc whats up, and hopefully my dreams will at least turn into sex ones!

I was reading about it and it looks like Fibro can trigger some of the things I do in my sleep.  Never knew that o.o

try a dream journal and see if there's a common theme. it might help you figure out your trigger.

From what I understand, from time to time, I am pretty animated myself  when I'm sleeping.....I have no clue what to do about it either.... Sometimes Master doesn't even tell me about it. I get the impression He is not at all bothered by it.

I hope you get whatever help you need, and want for it though... Do you talk every night? Are you particularity tired the next day on nights you had been sleep talking?
