Absolutely it's true.  Think about it.  If someone eats a meal with a lot of garlic in it, you can smell it through their pores later.  The same with Indian food.  Ingredients with distinctive or strong flavors or scents can affect all of your bodily fluids, just as what you eat and drink affects your feces.

Someone suggested asking your Master to be sure he's drinking enough water, that's a really good point.  Much as your urine will appear lighter and diluted when you're well hydrated, semen will also be less "concentrated" so the taste and smell will be milder.

Eating lots of fruits and drinking fruit juice is supposed to improve the flavor, making it sweeter.  Pineapple, celery, cinnamon, and parsley are other specifics I've heard of.  Good, quality alcohol (in moderation) will make it sweeter too!

Avoiding meats and fish helps, along with the obvious spicy foods or anything with a really strong flavor.  There was actually a study that supposedly showed that vegetarians have better tasting, sweeter semen.  Some green vegetables should be avoided too...cabbage, asparagus (ugh, learned that one the hard way! no pun intended ), brussel sprouts, etc.
