SOOOOOO, what was the general consensus?

BlackPhx -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/15/2008 9:19:56 AM)

That men don't understand women, women don't understand women (though we have a clue) and that most men are just happy to be able to enjoy women without understanding them.

I think?

Maybe?

Oh heck!

I am very willing to comply to a woman's needs & wants and when it comes to understanding a woman I feel that I understand them somewhat completely.

Somewhat completely? And here I thought the word completely was pretty finite.

I think on CM the term "general consensus" is oxymoronic and is as likely to happen as me turning you over my knee and giving you a nice paddling....[;)]

You just don't understand men.

LaTigresse -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/15/2008 11:28:15 AM)

Oh you guyssssss......

RedMagic1 -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/15/2008 11:46:33 AM)

No, see... It's easy.....

Translation: "I use big annoying red font to get myself noticed, and because it's such a subbly way to write.  I have no trouble whatsoever understanding exactly what women want -- even though she might not even know sometimes.  I will be happy to demonstrate my expertise, merely for the price of a plane ticket.  And no, I don't do house work."

Pretty close, n'est-ce pas?

Tristan -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/15/2008 12:35:52 PM)

I think there are varying factors that aid or hinder understanding between two people.  Culture and life experiences might be more important factors than gender.

I think that gender can both help with understanding and prevent understanding.  Men and women think differently in some subtle ways.  When you are with someone for a long time, I think that gender might really help understanding.  I think there is a level of intimacy that isn't shared with anyone other than your lover.

To answer your question, do I understand women?  Maybe not.  However, do I understand my long term g/fs?  I think so.

Tristan

A great Master understands women, yes....
He knows that she wants to be spankked and teased and forced to explode...
But she also wants to be listened to and cuddled and loved...
It an easy thing for many men to do.
But for the great Masters...it comes naturally...

SovereignDaddy -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/15/2008 8:41:56 PM)

I was married for 13 years, and those 13 years taught me, in no uncertain terms, that MOST men don't understand women, and that MOST women don't understand men. (Although I think men, for the most part, are rather simple and easy to understand, but most women don't know the first thing about how guys think.)

I was fascinated when that light bulb went off in my little head, and I realized that women were very different from me. I've been trying to figure them out ever since. I think I've done a pretty good job of understanding the basic traits that women possess.

I think this is a great topic. One that everybody could benefit from if they were to take a close look at themselves and the opposite gender. (That is, assuming they're interested in a relationship with a person of the opposite gender.)

Take care,
Michael

Wow, I guess I'm not a great Master yet. I didn't know that all women want "to be spanked and teased and forced to explode." I really have a lot to learn!!! Sheesh!

daddysliloneds -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/16/2008 7:57:54 AM)

the advice i gave my son is something that i truly believe:  most women don't know what they want until they reach their 50's, so for a man to understand them before then is virtually impossible.

you should stay out of things you know nothing about. I wasnt referring to this thread. But another thread that this idea and question was born out of. As far as not using my ears because I make posts as the OP and give opinions and tell people I appreciate their point of view without arguing?

So because you post, does that mean you are not listening? You seem to be more mouth than ears yourself. you certainly seem to have your POV without any room for change?

Plain and simple. We appreciate those who appreciate us! [sm=kiss.gif]

~fast reply~

the imp asked me a question, and i answered it with a few sentences.  his father looked at him and said, "that's a woman, gives you a two hour lecture on a yes or no question! remember that!"

about 10 minutes later, i was going to the kitchen and asked wolf "do you want me to get you some more tea?" as his glass was about empty.  "whatever" was his response.

but *i* am the one who wont give a yes or no answer.  [:D]

i think that men and women can understand each other if they try.  but at the same time, we're so different biologically and hormonally, why would our brains work in the exact same way?  tim allen once said that men could be satisfied with three things.  sleep, sex, and food.  not in any specific order.  i think they're slightly more complicated than that...

and i know that some days, i'm running at that same 'three things' level, and some days i'm contemplating why is it that deity is supposed to be a positive thing, and yet people insist on waging wars in the name of deity?

kitten, complicated or not.

Level -> RE: Do Men understand Women? (2/16/2008 4:10:25 PM)

Ah, but many a man contemplates questions about deities, and "why?", as well. [8|]

Would Aristotle, Michelangelo, or the Dali Lama be content with sleep, food, and sex? [X(]
