I am agree. More of a coward in my opinion. He never had the BALLS to live his life freely. He treated this lifestyle as a "dirty secret" because that made his sexual release was that much more intense. He got off on having a secret life. sextoygirlNY . I would beg to differ on the view another good club/dungeon about to be shut down . O.H.S issues at a very basic level , issues that had there been correct training in the said procedures , which include one vital element it is called " Duty Of Care " would not now be plastered all over the relevant U.S papers . To check in on a client suspended at regular intervals is insane , they are never to be left alone suspended and a second person should aways be there in case the first person has any medical drama IE. asthma attack simple thing but if the Dominant is out of action then the poor client swings .
I use a full body harness , that has a record sheet of safety inspections six monthly , and once up no longer than 5 to 15 minutes , you should be able to achieve your desired effect in that time . The neck and collars in such a position for a prolonged period is a recipe for disaster never ever should they be on in suspension as the forces of gravity force the neck down and the blood capillaries to expand which will make the collar even more tighter sowing the seed for your ruin and your clients demise .

I agree with you Cali on that they are both dipshits...they (the Domme & Club, and the sub) may have "discussed" something prior to where he was strung up and left alone, but this fantasy vs. reality and common sense ratio is way off. Makes you wonder what caliber of Pro Dommes are (or were) at this club and perhaps others. How long was an accident waiting to happen before this accident came about? It would really be sad if this whole thing was done with a part-time Domme who just needed to put herself through college, and thought this is an easy income. I don't blame the idiot for wanting this, I blame the club for allowing it to happen and perhaps compromising this scene...

They could have put noise-cancelling headphones on professor wuss and with his mask on, he wouldn't have known if he was in Times Square during a parade on a float for Macy's Thanksgiving Day. The club shouldn't have allowed what this person wanted verbatim, and that makes this stupid and damaging for all of us really in the end. Instead of a positive, we are now faced with another negative that furthers some stigmatic responses from the public. I also feel that for whatever reason he was in this lifestyle, and where he is now; if he feels that being with his vanilla wife and vanilla life is the best thing, then that's fine. He's scared and feels that this is the only way to save face and regain what he feels most important, even at expense of vilifying the lifestyle. I hope he makes himself happy and can live with his decision to do what he feels right. His "dirty habit" may come back to haunt him...his wife might be a secret Domme and will control him out of love or whatever (I'm sure he's been able to hide every aspect of his lifestyle so well...and when this comes out, I can see the wife thinking that "now some things make sense" happening with her. We all have to live with the decisions we make and the consequences from those decisions.

That is where the Nutcracker is right now. They made decisions and now consequences that comes from them (and ultimately there's a new mark on us all now from their actions). This was a safety issue, and a lack of common sense. They could have made a better choice on what to do with this person. It wasn't that long ago that kink and BDSM was considered by the norm, the medical and psychological society, and the general public to be a mental disorder where one of the treatments besides medication and therapy...was shock treatment (a little more severe version than what we like to see). It didn't matter how long and what history we've had with the lifestyle and human nature through the centuries, it was the popular thought at the time. That was also the consideration for homosexual and bisexual behavior as well...a mental illness with the same sort of treatment. Wouldn't want to be either the club or that person back during that time.

It wouldn't surprise me that she had some inclination of what he was doing and chose to let it happen or ignore it. But stupidity and ignorance being what it is, she'll probably take him back, and all will blow over for them, and we'll have this to contend with here. There is BDSM in Montreal...to bad he couldn't have messed things up there instead of here.

Victim of near-fatal sex play at bondage club doesn't remember incident

A retired math teacher from Quebec survived near-fatal sex play at a midtown bondage club but couldn't tell investigators how he was injured, law enforcement sources said Monday.

The 64-year-old thrill-seeker had been found turning blue, hanging in a dungeon room at the Nutcracker Suite on E. 33rd St. Friday morning.

Dressed in a dog collar and a pair of women's high heel shoes, the victim had paid staff at the upscale S&M club $100 an hour to check on him every hour.

"He comes down to visit once in a while," his unsuspecting wife said when reached in Quebec.

The Daily News is withholding the victim's name.

She said she had been told her husband had been found "unconscious on one of the streets."

I like that the NYPD initially lied to the wife about the circumstances that he was found in. I wonder how long that story held up or if the sub came clean to the wife. I also wonder who leaked it to the press. All interesting questions.
