I'm going with the same answer as some of the others.  When someone posts a point that I find interesting, I may look at their profile to get a better sense of the person.  Sometimes I notice a new pic and I'll go check out the profile to see if there are more.

I was wondering exactly the same thing! Especially regarding MALE dominants checking my profile. When somebody view my profile, however, I will always view their profile if it a female submissive (that's when I'm looking for, after all), most likely I will also check out a female dominant's profile if she's view me, but when it comes to guys (dominant or submissive), I will very rarely check their profile. What might encourage me to view a guy's profile is... hmmm... I'm not sure anything would encourage me, and I can't remember the last time I saw a guy's profile.

It makes sense that people are checking profiles of people who post.

Take care,
Michael :-)

Not that this bothers me, I'm just curious...
What is it you are looking for, or interested in, when you view another Dom's profile?

Ideas. Sometimes one word oe even a phrase you read on anothers profile may be the ticket ot inspire an entire train of though for something new to try. Just because we call our selves masters, does not mean there is nothing left to learn.

I tend to check out interesting posters, and the majority of locals who come up when I turn off the role and just search for local stuff. Also, I look at those who contact Fox, often, since he needs permission to move offline and chat with people. Since I am just searching for contacts, not a partner, it doesnt matter to me if someone is a D or an s for conversations.

Many times, I will view the profile of someone who made an interesting post in the forums to learn more about them.  I also like to browse local profiles, whether they be Dom or sub, to learn more about things going on in the community.  Sometimes I will view the profile of someone I met in real time to find out more about them.  I think people of all orientations are fascinating, even though what I am personally seeking is a male sub or slave.

I do have a few male Dominants who view my profile on practically a daily basis and I do wonder what's up with that, LOL.

My computer is sensitive.  Part of the profiles come up on my collarme home page.  Very often, I have accidentally clicked on someone's profile when it was never my intention to do so.

Other times, I read something in a forum & just want to know more about the poster.

Just like when you sit down at a cafe and start looking at the people around you. It's not like you are evaluating everyone you see as a potential partner. Sometimes it's just fun to watch other people, what they are doing, saying, wanting. Same with sites like these... there's no meaning behind it. It's just sociologically interesting.

I'll often take a look at a person's profile if I appreciate the content of their posts on this side of the fence. That's the primary reason these days. However, I will also take a peek if the person doing the posting completely boggles my mind. Curiosity runs rampant and I just have to find out if they're as big an asshole as they seem to be. But peeking for that reason is fairly rare. In most cases I figure they're too much of a twit to pay any attention to.

Is my brunette head having another dizzy moment or is that not 4 words and not 3? Hmmmm?

Edited as to not offend those who do not know me and my warped sense of humor.

Nope, It just means that I am puzzled by this recent spate of inane questions on the forums.
Their seems to be a trend developing as of late of people trying to figure out why people do things or the reasons behind them.
Shit, we are people, we do strange, absurd, stupid, brilliant things for 100,000,00 reasons at all, or none, or sometimes both all at once.
Does it matter?
And if so, why?
I certainly don't feel a need to explain my actions unless I choose to do so.
And I have no desire to satisfy anyone's curiousity, for whatever reason.
I'm cruel enough to enoy leaving them hanging
So if I choose to peer in at anyones profile for any reason, its none of their damn business.
If they don't like it, maybe they shouldn't post in a public forum.

Damn, that came off like someone peed in my wheaties or what.
