Tabasco almost made me cry.  I am an extreme lightweight though.

The winning answer.

Seconded.

hmm....

how about cucumber? because when you eat spicey stuff, and then eat cucumber, it makes it better. not like... the outside of a cucumber, cut it into slices, and then place it on the skin, it will cool it, and the wateryness might help as well

if that fails, try bananas

Make sure your test subject isn't allergic to capzaicin/pepper beforehand...I may switch, but it dawns on me that some of my reluctance over food play has to do with the array of allergies I manage. If eating hot spices make one's throat swell shut, they're contra-indicated anywhere else on the body!

I wouldn't get it inside. I would try it in very tiny amounts first. I might even try it as a patch test on nonmucus membrane first. And just like you get sour cream with spicy food, I would keep it around for washing it away if it was intolerable.

I'd also suggest starting with much milder items. Such as a menthol cough drop. Or mint toothpaste. Then work my way up to those listerine breath strips. Doing it this way allows you to find out where her limit is before she's blistered.

A very important thing to note...it takes a little bit of time for the tabasco sauce to actually start working so don't add more if you don't get the desired effect right away. I added more and boy was that a mistake. Ouch!

I know that dairy products are supposed to cool the burn when eating spicy foods but I don't know if that works for other mucous membranes. I guess the best advice to give would be to take it slow. Apply very small amounts to very small areas.

Not knowledgeable, but I would suggest keeping some olive oil and towels or tissues handy.

Ingested capsacian is supposed to be fat-soluable, but they suggest taking a mouthful of, say, milk, but not swallowing it, as that will carry the capsacian to the stomach.

Of course, if not allergic, it is supposed to be very healthful for ya ;) [the capsacian]
