I don't think it is even appropriate to respond here, but I am going to make an assumption (and I am certain I am correct) that my Dom would agree with this posting.  The reason I accepted his direction, and opened myself up to him, is that he contacted me to express his concern about how I was conducting myself.  It wasn't about me being a sub and him being a Dom it was like "err..may I ask what the fuck you are thinking?!?!?".  This opened up a discussion in which I was able to examine my behaviour, and I could not argue with the fact that he was right.  I was globally fucking up.  This was not done in a "you're my property" way.  This was in a person showing genuine concern for another PERSON.  That dialogue was the beginning of a friendship that has endured through many life changes and trials and has grown into the deepest and most fulfilling relationship I have ever had.
Had he contacted me in some insulting and demeaning way...I would have had none of this.  The thing is, he never WOULD contact someone in such a derogatory manner.  I suppose there are some subs out there that don't mind having no value.... so maybe one of those silly Doms will get lucky.

Usually it is someone who is not serious about the lifestyle...has no experience
and/ or is quite young.
Oh yes...you can always throw " being an idiot" into the causes as well...
Actually it's a great way for the submissives to "weed out" the jerks...

Its funny.
I always view submissives as people first.
Maybe its because I did this thing before the internet was so pervasive.
But  I suspect its because I have always felt that to get respect one should give it.
But then again I am a dinosaur in a whole lot of ways

Taintedeyes so your saying that your not going to throw yourself at my feet?  Noctural emmissions when you have 100 subs. How is that possible??? Scratches head. Not the lower one.

I only bow and submit to those who prove worthy of such a position of dominance.

Having male anatomy does not = dominant in my head. Go figure.

and Kana, *snicker* points for being clever.

i've only once been addressed by anything less than polite, and i have to admit my first reaction was complete and total shock.  my second was giggles, followed by laughter -- the kind that brings tears rolling down the cheeks, requires holding onto the belly just before falling to my knees laughter.  The harder i tried to stop (and i really did try to stop) the harder i laughed.  After finally getting a certain amount of control back, i stood up, looked at the guy, and said..."silly boy, you've been on line waaaay too much"...and left, giggling as i went.

i'd love to know if he ever made that mistake again..lol.

cheers,
jimini
