I am going to see if I can say this RIGHT for a change. Removing the actual video clip from the discussion completely. I am one who does not…I guess a good enough word is like…I do not like separating crimes to the degree that we seem to do. A CRIME IS A CRIME; it matters NOT who it was committed against. If you want to label crime; then almost ANY criminal act committed could be considered a hate crime. Terrorism is a crime of hate. Intolerance is a crime of hate. Rape is a crime of hate. “Bashing” of any kind is a crime of hate. I think it’s clear what I am getting at here J I see no reason at all to separate crimes into categories; and then to take those categories and determine which are more hateful or worse than the others. THEY SHOULD ALL BE TREATED IN THE SAME WAY; no matter what the crime is. I have always held this opinion; and I have always been …..perhaps, upset is a better word than disgusted….upset that we need to categorize them. Now…in regards to celebrities who go out of their way to ‘publicly speak out against only one kind of crime”….this is where my disgust comes in. If you are going to openly and publicly support crime legislation…then it should be ALL CRIME…not just one kind. I don’t understand how a person can sit there and state that one is worse than the other. It turns my stomach in a bad way.
