She didn't live with a pack of wolves to escape the Nazis. She didn't trek 1,900 miles across Europe in search of her deported parents, nor kill a German soldier in self-defense. This is so tragic. The author should have simply labelled the book as a novel based on real events, much like Mila 18. It could have still been a best-seller. Now she has totally discredited herself.

There's nothing wrong with fiction, but there's something fucked up when someone uses historical facts to make a fiction they then claim are facts. She'll make more cash out of her fuckup. It's fucked. PS: even more shameful that she claimed to have been a victim of the Shoah. The ridicule won't kill her, though [8\|] .

It`s also a stab in the back of those fighting the good fight. I also thought of that Oprah book club loser.Lol. Added:Though it`s possible she`s not anti-Semitic,she has unfortunatly advanced that disease greatly. She better damm do the right thing at this point.Fucker!

She wasn't the first and she won't be the last to do this sort of thing. At the moment there is a controversy in Germany over a German film based on an autobiography written by a young Eritrean girl soldier. Her school teachers have complained and are taking legal action claiming that none of what she has written is true and she is slandering her school teachers who she claims taught her how to use weapons.

In school we watched a black and white film of the bulldozers shifting dead corpses around during the cleanup, the numerous personal belongings left behind that couldn't be incinerated. So I think most people understand it happened it's just the scale of it people question. Cases like this don't really help people realise the scale of the event either which is sad. It takes credibility away from the accepted truth so anyone that forgives this lie isn't looking at the damaging effect it will have. It is hard enough making people believe the truth as it is because people don't want to believe humans can act such a way towards each other.

A good book to read is Animal Farm by George Orwell. "some people are more equal" bttm line-it must never happen again. granted i have my personal thoughts on anyone who is a 'victim" adnausean. sadly history repeats. I thought we learned that- but we did not.

I like the start of fargo "based on true events" they didnt say till later that it wasnt, their argument is that it was a film so fiction so the lie was not a lie simply part of the fiction, there was no news about it no upriseing but then i guess it wasnt about the holocaust

One of the main tools Holocaust deniers use is questioning the number or "scale" of the mass murders. Some deniers say that there weren`t really any mass murders or if there were any,they were limited and few.And that happens in war,so no big deal.The deniers can then extract out the sinister, truly evil nature of the nazis and make them seem normal. Most people have come to the 6 million number.But if a denier can punch holes in that estimate,then the whole number and claim of mass murder becomes questionable. The next few sentences that follow include phrases like,"if they`re lying about this,what else are they lying about?",etc. You get the picture. Last year I was listening to Rush Limbaugh,the fat fuck,claiming that the number of people killed as a result of slavery wasn`t over 20 million,as most contend but much much less.And there for,what else have "they" been telling us that`s faults?Yadda yadda... It`s not meant as sincere discussion of fact or events,but rather it`s meant to hurt, harm and demean actual victims. He also claimed that there was NO African influences in American culture; that they were all European.He seemed to make a point that Africans contributed nothing of value to early America. Again,not factual and really only meant to insult and demean people of color. We can`t give bigots even a inch to stand on.

Life is about seeking facts and not accepting things that people tell you. That is my approach anyway and it makes no difference to my existence whether or not the holocaust happened as I wasn't directly affected by it therefore I'm only an impartial observer on this subject. I don't like it when people that question common beliefs are labelled holocaust deniers however. If the subject is up for debate then debate the facts don't label people to quell the debate.

I`m with you about the stagnating affect of name calling. I`m also with you about calling a spade a spade,without being labeled or libeled. Unfortunately,there are a few here who throw the terms "holocaust denier and anti-Semite" around like it`s nothing and not at the actual holocaust deniers here(we have three). They are using the term for reasonable folks with a difference of opinion on the ME. And there`s the three actual holocaust deniers who are being confused with the normal folks here.It`s confusing. I wish I could name them,but I would poof,magically turn into a ~[awaiting approval]~ sign.
