Rule -> How many posters have you hidden? (3/3/2008 7:55:25 AM)

At the moment I have hidden the posts of 29 persons. Many for using offensive fonts, one for having a logical disability that precludes having a meaningful discussion, some out of selfprotection, and a few for having a nasty or evil personality.
 
As far as I can acertain two thirds of them are no longer actively posting in the forums.
 
I used to have some other people blocked as well, but those I have unblocked after some time.
 
So I am curious: do I have the record in hidden posters, or does someone else have a better claim to this place in the Guinness book of records?

I don't have anyone blocked... there's one or two lately that have made want to beat the crap outta them (in a not-nice way), but I can't help reading their posts (the train wreck kinda thing, I suppose).

i have 2 blocked.
one who i went out with and who beat the shit out of me in Sac. a couple years ago.
and the other that was starting to sound like he was about to go there himself.
i dont talk to any doms off these boards anymore and all here have respect,
so i really havent had a need to block anyone.
a question? if you take someone off block do they get a notice?

As far as I know only one, once, a long time ago.

I was feeling cranky and he claimed to be sheikh. He was an arrogant idiot set on teaching the western heathens the error of their ways. I was set on verbally castrating him and teaching him humanity. I believe I was well on my way to being Madame Eleven's favourite whipping girl.........so, to restore calm, I thought it best to pretend the creature (the sheikh, not the illlustrious Eleven) did not exist.

Here, I thought we were hiding posters.  I haven't had a poster since I was probably 13 years old.

None, I find most of the stupid ones amusing. The ones I really hate?. Mod XI has shown me the wisdom of ignoring them..:). Plus you never know, even a blind squirrel kinds an acorn now and then.

I never blocked anyone either, not even the most blatantly horrible people. If a person has to block 29 others... well, it speaks to me of a thin skin, and of a low-tolerance threshhold [:D] .

Well, back in the seventies I had to hide that Farrah Fawcett poster from my disapproving mother...

Seriously, I’ve never blocked anyone. If somebody becomes too offensive I just ignore them. Besides, you may have just caught somebody in a bad mood or you may have misinterpreted them (easy to do with just the written word). If you block them you’ll never know if they changed or if you were wrong about them.

I think I've blocked 3 people at CM, and to the best of my knowledge, only one of them remains, and is not currently blocked.

None here. I have a couple opf people blocked on b.com. Some because they provoked the urge in me to choke them to death and I don't like getting that upset. Moreso because he's mentioned that if I get too riled by the fora I may be removed permission to use them. A couple for offensive pictures and a few for fonts/color combinations that were too upsetting.

The really offensive people here don't seem to be able to stay just within the TOS, they seem to be removed pretty quickly.

[&:] Someone is driving me crazyyyyyyyyyy with a negative 'me-me-me every thread is about me so I will hijack them all for me-me-me' attitude. I tried ignoring the posts but they were like pebbles in my shoes. Hangnails. Splinters. A sore tooth, always there.It's awful admitting this because it makes me feel a bit foolish for not being able to just skip over all of their posts.
