Okay so I am not a man and the OP was pretty adamant about hearing from men for her learning/research. I am going to throw my two cents in anyway.

I feel women rock! I think women are amazing. I love the way women function. Women bring so much to the table all the time. They are magnetic in nature and for the most part (generally speaking) are so much stronger than our men. Women have the ability to stand and face their fears. Women's emotions are generally much more a part of them and at the same time they have not often been encouraged to express, or accepted if they did--express deeply felt things. I feel the 'sisterhood' is alive and well. Women who would not take another woman's man, for example. I feel there are a lot of women out there who love their women friends deeply and are emphatic with the sorts of things both men and women go through and are present for each other in a very supportive and nurturing stance. I am not saying there is not gnarly stuff in there needing sorting out, but I dont feel this is the fundamental layer of who women really are, I see it more as an aberration in our history which will balance out in the end.

I feel women have not fully blossomed as the beings that they are. I feel men and women heal each other. I believe when two people who are bonded in love, make love and orgasm simultaneously, they genuinely create Light.

Oh and just to point out a post, dispite me not asking for woman here I thank you for your response. Something about it is so frank and level headed and I really enjoyed it.
Kudos

There's also the issue, that one can open the door to a discussion with what they think is a very interesting thought, but they can't force others to walk through the door with an open mind that's at all receptive to the subject being introduced.  So whether or not others would participate in a something based on an OP posted of interest to me might be a different matter entirely that could cause it to quickly disappear.

What I think that a woman should bring to a table. A pizza with anchovies on it.

I am happy to bring pizza to the table, but I prefer to eat it sitting on the couch, and I am not really a fan of anchovies.

You sir, are a very wise man.

I applaud your wording. I cheered aloud when I read your response.

I truly believe that women's lib has given women that wish to live in a traditional or submissive lifestyle the shit end of the stick.

Thank you.

*headsmacks* And the menstral explosion went off like a badly placed egg timer.

That being said Im thankfull the for the honesty attempted to put forth here, as for what I hope to gain here, Im afraid its a personal learning experince overall, I hope to see no one side winning over the other, Im honestly curious in all the lights various men put woman in.

PS: woman rushing in here picking apart the requested honesty should be reminded Im not acknowlging for good or for bad any personal feelings towards our gender but rather want to gain something from seeing what men see...In otherwords your only making yourself look bad

The only thing worse than male sexist generalizations are female ones. Your entire post smacks of personal feelings, so don't even try and justify your comments about the "weaker" sex. Yeah, we are so weak.

But most of us are intellectually strong and can easily spot posts that are designed to be inflammatory.

So carry on, hon.

Oh, and it's menstrual explosion, not menstral.

To answer the OP, mainly because Action rawks my socks...

I see the flaws in the feminine kind, possibly moreso as a nice guy, who has found himself in vanilla relationships being used as a crutch. In fact, from being so treated, it inspired me in my BDSM life. I don't have to be a nice guy, I can be as caring, or not, as I choose to be. Especially dealing with women of a certain age, namely my own.

Women for some reason use their friends as a support system for their bad decisions. I think Dane Cook once said of abusive relationships, "Sure, he likes to hit me, but I left my CDs in his truck. I'm not just going to say goodbye to 300 dollars in CDs." The few times I have seen a girl in a group actually present an opinion that is not supportive of the chosen abusive behavior, they are summarily and often labeled the "bitch." In one real-life example, the friends actually encouraged a pregnant girl to marry the guy who was a known cheating douchebag, instead of trying to support her as a single mother.

Of course, I always default to Ladder Theory. Maybe that's why I have such respect for women who break that mold and strive for something more in their personal relationships. Even in D/s, I prefer the girls who are emboldened and proud of their position under the collar than a "true" kneel and bow submissive who forfeits their attitude and style. Give me, the "bitch," and I'll take her over the sheep any day.

The point being is the reason I feel nothing toward these woman but lingering bitterness and no more then that is that I feel I am better then they are. I will never become what they where to me to others. I actually don't seek to tear down woman but rather I feel there has to be another way, great woman have lived and died with atributes I aspire to, honor, bravery, ability to adapt, strength, to need only myself.

Thank you for explaining yourself a bit more.

I actually understand where you're coming from; however I had abuse from my father, not my mother.  Not sexual, not physical, but mental, and more of it was directed to and affected my sister and her life.  I'm stronger than she is, and had more support from friends, so was able to heal and more on.  But yeah, the way he played us sticks with me and the effects pop up from time to time for me.

Sooooo....  I'm sharing to let you know that I could have let the way my father treated us color my entire vision of the male sex.  I could look around and find some really fucked-up men and let that be my guide to men.  I've been able to have great relationships with men, and in doing so, saw that he was not an example of how it had to be.

I completely get that your mother and stepmother abused you.  I wish that you had some better female role models outside of them to give you a more balanced view of what women are like.  Well, actually perhaps you have because you mention some traits you've admired in women and that you aspire to them.  You can't judge an entire gender because of what was done to you.  It takes those characteristics you mentioned admiring - bravery, honesty and strength, to be able to acknowledge the good in others.

I actually liked the way you posted your original question .. until I read your diatribe on how much you despise women, how weak they are, etc.  I don't like generalizations and, that post was a doozy of a generalization.

To answer your question as to how I feel about women ...  I can only speak of those that I know.  The women in my family are strong, funny, supportive and smart.  I admire them greatly even when they're driving me batty because they're family and we all have our issues.  :-)  They've made some choices I question and wouldn't have chosen myself, but most of those choices are personal and I haven't discussed this with them.

The women who are my friends - their personalities vary greatly, from conservative, almost uptight, to very accepting.  They are loyal to our friendships, always there when needed in a crisis (cancer, sick kid, carpool, etc.).  They are people I can call at 3am and say "I need help" and they'd be there.  They are smart, opinionated, colored by many different backgrounds and experiences, which often explain to me the differences between us.  They share the good as well as the bad, will give an honest opinion and will call me out when it's needed.

The women who are on the outside peripherals of my life - I just don't know enough about to pass judgment.  They can be funny, annoying, seemingly incredibly stupid, giving, not-accepting ... all sorts of things both good and bad.

Personally, I cannot classify women in general just as I cannot classify men in general. I have had some very bad relationships and a few good relationships as I am sure most of us have. I tend to feel that my negative experiences with females in the past are representative of the personality of a single person not the group as a whole.

I love women, both strong and weak, dominant and submissive, wise and foolish. They bring excitement to life and make it worth living.

Anything negative that can be said about women can be said about men as well but in all truthfulness it all comes down to individual personality.

I do think women's lib has done a disservice to many modern women who are forced to live up to external expectations they may not truly feel in their heart. However, it did give those women who did not want to be stay at home mothers the means to do what they felt. I just feel bad that it dragged all women as a general rule along with it. Essentially, trading one subjugation for another.

As an interesting and humorous side note, I had a girl at a party tell me she thought feminism was stupid and pointless...

I told her then she should shut up and make me a sandwich.

To explain why this is funny, if you have such little regard for the long involved struggle that women as early as the foundation of this country have had to push forward the idea that anyone should give two sh*ts about your opinion, then you don't need to speak. If it wasn't for the sufferage movement, you would be seen as an object, and not a person, and thus making an idiotic statement running counter to feminism, reduces you to being seen as said object. Sure, you can choose to be barefoot and pregnant, but at least they've given you that choice.

((Not a hateful remark to conquer, just a generalized rant about the idiocy of a woman slighting feminism by expressing an opinion.))
