I tend to agree, with terms such as "slave," "submissive," "dominant," "master," "steel," "switch," "masochist" as used on this website. Who really is a light switch? Master of what? Certainly not their own ego. Perhaps pretend role playing and the usage of metaphor, simile, analogy, or allegory should be forbidden as a fundamental BDSM tenet, along with SSC, RACK, SSICK.

Most of those are poor examples of your point because acronyms and terminology specific to our community increase the ease with which we are able to communicate with each other. However expressing a phrase that the rest of us don’t use (such as safe sane informed consensual kink) as an acronym would be another example of pointlessly making it more difficult for the rest of use to understand you.
