These are serious issues,  I remember no end to the issue of President Clinton getting a wad semi-swallowed, hell, it tore this country apart, he was impeached for it.

.

Ya, it's much like the trap of the liberal beast

Vote for Obama = Sexist against women
Vote for Hillary = Racist against blacks.

And you're worried about a media beast ?

I'm not the one who's worried here [;)] . I'm just here for the circus.

MzMia -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 3:28:17 PM)

Rush and Hannity have been talking about this and playing tapes of his pastor
all day.
They are like dogs with a bone, now.

I seriously wonder if this will be the END of Obama's career?
If so, it is sad that his affiliation with his pastor could ruin his chances, NOT

something he did in his personal life.

We are often judged, by the company we keep!

How in the fuck did anything I say infer that I am worried about the media beast, or that I give the glimmer of a fuck about this whole fuckoree?

What I am worried about, if anything, is getting a continuous blowjob.

It's Doubtful MzMia, they will likely be discredited as racist Right wingers with an agenda. Much like Ferarro last week and MSNBC the week before.

Obama's camp plays the race card any chance it gets, and those chances come up often.

Imagine, he is not even the DNC nominee yet and all this dirty laundry surfaces...can't wait for August-November.

slvemike4u -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 3:31:53 PM)

Yes Sen. Obama did distance himself from the remarks, but not the man,he didn't explain being a member of or listening to this man's nonsense for twenty years.I recall Romney being raked over the coals for beliefs the Mormon church had repudiated years ago,the media went to great lengths to point out that for years while being a member in good standing his church taught that blacks were an inferior race. Now Mr Romney disavowed those beliefs but it was an issue and it couldn't be shouted away by calling everyone who asked about it a racist

I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it’s on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. stef,
Granted, however considering that he donated $22,500 to the cause of this church, I say the 'verbal' distance doesn't mirror his fiscal distance.

That would be the equivalent of me giving $22k to the DNC, or the current version of the RNC for that matter.

So what is he, a hypocrite, or a believer?

Either way, although he still is the person most likely to get my vote, I'm starting to narrow down the choices of charities to benefit for the winning bets come November.

mnottertail -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 3:34:53 PM)

What dirty laundry is that?

Hannity and Combs and Rush Limbaugh and Fucktard O'Reilly and all these shitbreathers couldn't pass a communal open book intelligence test even if supplied with the answers.

Consider where you are from where you were and the imbicilic jingles that you live your life by because of these amoeba.

And you all (in a general sense) belive this horseshit, regarless of what  your lying fucking eyes are telling you.

Romney was reamed by the Media concerning his Mormon background.

He did get off a lot easier than the last Mormon guy who ran for president (shot dozens of times by an angry mob).

As an aside, anybody see "The Simpsons" episode on Mormonism?  Hysterical stuff.

I don't see anything more sinister in the comments of Obama's preacher than in what we've been hearing for years from Bush religious cronies. This is all pretty funny to me, because if you're going to judge a candidate unworthy based on whacked-out religious beliefs, no one who claims religion should be in the running at all.  And yet ...

Past a certain point, it starts looking like a comedy.

Yes MzMia we are often judged by the company we keep .just ask Gary Hart or more recently former gov. Spitzer. Now i know there are laws against prostitution but i got to tell you when I'm voting for President it's more important what a man thinks and believes than who he f--ks or how he pays for it(we all pay for it one way or another)

Do you mean to imply we all dont have a kindly old uncle who spews hateful racist comments.

This isnt his uncle....

If the people you hang out with start talking racism, hate, and hate for the country....chances are you are not going to hanging with them much anymore. That's psychology 101... People tend to affiliate with people they feel are like them because it verifies the self.

I have gone to churches that have pastors like Wright.
Many White people don't realize that MANY Black pastor's say
things that many might consider "controversial".

lol, welcome to the "other side" folks.
Anyway, I used to attend a church that I enjoyed, but sometimes the pastor
would say things I had a problem with.
Guess what?
I did not tithe, and I often did not give much money.

I am sorry, if you give $22,000 a year to your church, you like your church a lot.

Also, it is very common in predominately Black congregations for the pastor to
discuss issues like: crime, drugs, racism, jail, discrimination, unfairness, SLAVERY,
Aids, sex, homosexuality, etc. because these are issues most Black people can relate to.
Walk on the wild side!
Attend a Black church, be my guest. [:D]

When you go to many churches you hear some interesting things.
Can I get an AMEN up in here?

Obama was pretty clear on what happened, why he stayed with his church and what his thoughts are on Wright. I don't think he's a hypocrite at all. I think he's a man who has loved his church for a very long time, supports it both in his heart and fiscally, knew Wright was going to retire and chose to remain loyal to the church & congregation despite the words of a single man within that church.

As far as I'm concerned, this is much ado about nothing.

Celeste

slvemike4u -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 3:52:01 PM)

Tracytaken the trouble with Bush and his cronies IMO has allways been there belief that they and they alone had the one true belief.Personally i dont care what the man in the Oval Office believes,as a matter of fact i would rather not know .His beliefs should be a private matter and he should keep them that way 'Thought that was what Mr.Jefferson and Mr. Madison had in mind,we would all be better off if we could find one canidate that would point that out to the first reporter to ask them a religous belief question .Just refuse to answer tell them you will worship in private till you leave public office ,and go inside and bow down to craven images .I know i'll sleep better
