Status: offline 		I hate it when people are so closed minded when it comes to Music that the fact that I listen to EVERYTHING bothers them. One moment they are praising me on my Music Selection then two songs later asking .... "What the hell kinda Crap is that"

My Answer. "It's called Variety, not shut the fuck up and enjoy it."

It can be the common link between very different people. I like so many different types I can usually find something I like in all styles.

Status: offline 		Steel I used to get pounded on when anyone heard that I love John Tess and his amazing orchetra.

If they would just listen once they could hear the beauty.  If I can find the cd, there is an absolute amazing song done on top of a mesa with a popular native america singer and his wife.  The video is amazing if I could ever track it down...I had vrc'd it ages ago on a pbs special.It  will literly move you to tears hearing it.  It one of those wrap around you good feeling of being moved kinda song if you understand that.
I think the song is One World with the album being the same name.  Now I have to go find it..I have lost to many brain cell....ugh

But since its John Tess,  Ex entertainment tonight host and the whole ET thing any time I mention it I get the huge eye roll with the you have got to be kidding me look.

That was an amazing version of the song, sung by a truly beautiful human being.  The video was so well done to show the love that shone out of him & the ending was so touching.  I love how music brings out passion & as you say it is the great equalizer.  Music speaks to me like no other form of communication can.

I finally got a chance to watch this.  I agree with linnea
 
My reason is because anyone might have a good voice and use it
But the are certain artists that but every bit of themselves into it and you can hear and feel that.
When you see a video where the artist is so moved by what they are singing they cant stop their own tears.
It doesnt matter what venue really.
I come away feeling I shared something special with that artist and alot of times totally makes me feel peaceful.
I used to have a playlist when I was to anxious or upset or stressed, that was a little of everything to include comtempary christian, to reground myself.
 
If those around me heard it they knew to just give me my space although most times I do use earphones.

You see i got a new computer (the old one broke) for Christmas - a NETbook which has NO CD drive - because it was less expensive that any laptop.  i don't mind using flash drives (also known as "thumb" drives or USB "thingys") - they are easier than BURNING CDs.

Then i got my cable internet reconnected.  Today i bought a little wireless router so i would not be tied down to the desk in the office/bedroom.  GUESS WHAT THE FIRST INSTRUCTION IS after connecting all the wires?

Insert the setup CD into your computer. 
 
So I get on the manufacturer's web site and email their tech support folks (on a Friday after 5pm).  And tell them that there is no CD drive and could i please get the link to download the software.  Their auto response email says they try to get back with answers within 72 hours.
