ouch ouch ouch!!  have you been back for a check to make sure it's not a dry socket?  my sister had that, she was miserable.  i'm sending painkiller thoughts your way and a wish for a nice big ice pack that never warms up to help numb the pain.

I guess it depends on your perspective.  I was planning on going, and then circumstances beyond my control kept me from going (thank you grad school and work).  Now, as I sit here and chat with my friends from the boards (both online and on the phone and in person), I am loving all the talk about the wedding.  I love hearing about every (mis)adventure, every moment of happiness, and yes, even the ones of tension.  I couldn't be there, and now I want to share in the memories with everyone that could be there. 

So, sorry if it bothers you (or anyone else..not trying to single you out), but some of us love hearing about it, and about everything that went on that weekend, both good and bad.  I want to hear about every minute of it because I couldn't be there.  From what I read, see, and hear, it was a momentous occasion (thanks to all the hard work of everyone), and the weekend was filled with love, laughter, and tears.  So, yes...I want to keep hearing about it and talking about it.

(BTW, Thorn had to change her flight plans, so she won't be here this wknd after all.  However, she WILL be here in May for my birthday party!  I'll call you later and get your availability in the next week or two for our dinner in DC and club adventures.)

thank you, my wedding will run and go smoothly in Vegas.

now if you want to hear about the negativity - perhaps you should look at your guest list and go on from there.


May I just say:  WTF????  I come to this area of the boards for 2 main reasons:  The silliness & playfulness & for the incredible support that people get here.  When I have read things on threads here that didn't make me happy, I mostly just shrug my shoulders & pass them by.  There have been threads that I have been very involved in taken over by people & posts that I didn't enjoy, so I moved on. 

I was in Orlando with these folks for 4 days & I seem to have missed the negative stuff that you apparently have 2nd or 3rd hand knowledge of.  Or perhaps I just didn't focus on it.  It was a wonderful, very special time for me & for others.  I met people who I now consider real-life friends & family.  There were a lot of hugs & tears.  I've been to family events that were nowhere near as loving, positive & supportive.

This level of snarkiness is unbecoming.  I seem to remember when you have asked for/needed support, it has always been forthcoming.  If there is something going on for you right now that caused this, I would like to send you hugs & prayers.  If not, shrug your shoulders & move on.

totally agree with trapped, as I also would have loved to attend there, but many different reasons did hold me back (as GT and Pirate know).

Regarding it would be so difficult to stay out of it...well, actually it isnt....its called self discipline, isn't it?

I don't read all of it as I am far too busy in general with Uni and placement demands as it is going toward exam-season, not to mention my demands from my paid work and the fact that my health shows that I push a bit too hard at the moment with all my demands...so i flip through sometimes when I have a spare moment. But in general I am not often on at the moment, but I do enjoy the possibility to see and hear about and am glad that GT and Pirates special day went so well.

Therefore, if I don't want to comment or don't join in, then I simply either shut up and don't leave a comment or just don't go onto certain topics at all. I only read about it when i want to, and if I don't feel like it i simply stay out of it...therefore it is pretty easy to stay out of it IF you want to!!! I am glad that they found each other  and thanks to freedom of speech they can write as much as they want

i also hate that it's official that i'm sick.....  i hate spending special times (or any time) being sick.  i hate that i can not just allow myself to be sick and lay here and sleep. i hate that i suffer from extreme paranoia and stupidity when i'm sick.  i hate that there's nothing on television right now.
