Mine slapped me with a sole custody case over our youngest child (15) wanting to terminate my parental rights AND forgive $8850 of the $11,000 in back child support that he owes me. Because, as he said, I "met some man and am leaving the country to marry him but he (th ex) still loves me." The asshole was stupid enough to give me a copy of the letter his attorney sent him where they told that if this goes to court if I don't sign the papers, which I won't, he doesn't stand a chance because he's in default of the original order. But they also told him that they don't think I'll contest it since I've already given him a departure date on the 30th. HAHAHAHAHAHA.... THE FOOLS!! When hell freezes over - I'll see his sorry ass in court..... And all this after 7 years of me being Ms Agreeable & Nice, letting him have the kids whenever he or his family wanted them for visitation, never asking for the support, never pushing it, letting him stay here when he didn't have a place to stay. Plus we had an agreement to keep joint custody and he would have physical custody of our youngest. Grrrrrrrrr....... I hate it when assholes don't keep their agreements.... Hello to all. I understand about exes as I have one, too. He's right up there with the dumb ones we've heard about on the boards. I wish everyone dealing with idiots like this success in your cases. When I worked for family law attys and the family law court and worked with these cases, it was hard for me to not want to reach out and touch someone in a not nice way. The restraint I showed... hmph, I oughta have a medal or something.

Oh holly... the way they work us over! Mine are 9 and 12, and they don't pull so much over on me anymore, but let one of them get sick... sighes the sigh of the defeated I turn into putty, and it's all I can do to remember that they did that pissed me off.
