I found out a little bit ago that my ex-father-in-law who was supposed to fly out this morning from here and who was one of the main instigators of my ex's custody suit (paid for the attorney and encouraged him to do it) has had a major seizure and is now in the hospital here. I'm not happy to hear this and I'm still mad about the custody case. When I hit Canada, I am soooo gonna thumb my nose at the ex in pure happiness.... (I'll do it in spite where Lumus can't see me! winks) And I hate it when I call my attorneys office today only to find out that they're gone all day. ARRRGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

What is with the exes over the weekend? Is it an ex-full-moon or something? Mine actually had the audacity to hold me against my will. When I got away, if I didn't have the kids (they didn't see any of it), I would have driven straight to the police station. Having the kids, it gave me time to calm down and think about what happened. Of course, now he's apologized profusely with tears and everything. Blah blah blah. I'm going to try to get in touch with a friend of ours who is a police officer and have him go talk to the ex. Cali

Crikeys, Cali, mine got all teary eyed and emotional claiming he was doing this because he still loved me and didn't want to see me running off to some foreign country to be with some "strange man you met and are going to marry". All I could was stare at him and go "WTF?????" Is it the moon? Is it "Weird Ex Weekend" or something? [:'(]

One of the things on my side is that he is afraid of going back to jail (he did something stupid when he was a teen and spent a year in jail, so that was around 15 or so years ago). Another thing on my side is that he knows I'm not afraid of him, and if he ever lays a hand on me, he'll never see the kids again (the judge who heard our custody/support case got pretty darn irritated at the ex, I can imagine what he would say if we landed back in front of him with that sort of thing). Oh and LRF? Mine claims he still loves me too, never stopped loving me, and he's only living with another woman and her kids because he has no other options. Uh huhhhhhhhhhh. Cali

Good luck on the interview Adrina, and aarrrgghhh on the SCA crap. I walked away from it about 9 years ago not too long after the King apologized for how the Baronial Seneschal was treating me. Politics when you're not "downtown" in the Kingdom but way out on the edges can really suck (and not in that good slutty way that we like). Cali

sighs I never could get anyone to answer my questions on the local SCA group for activities and meetings. I used to be active in the local barony down in California. It's not that big or active up here. Here's hoping our weeks go better than crazy weekends did.....

I left a message for our friend the police officer. I'm going to see what he thinks. I've never been afraid of him before or now. He was trying to make me take some money from him for something and I was refusing and he said I wasn't leaving until I took it (that's the short version of what happened anyway). Things escalated from there. I left without the money. Cali

i hate to have to hear what you women are going through. it brings up bad bad feelings from years ago. if i may offer any comfort...the children do grow up and you then never have to talk or see the ex again. well except college graduations and the childrens weddings, but that is a piece of cake. it really is. i wish you woman a most wondrous week. ps...this full moon coming up is playing havoc on my dementia patients too. all the women are anxiously awaiting visits from their husbands..,dead husbands.
